The answer to whether or not the beneficiary of an estate has any say in the management of that estate depends on the document under which the beneficiary is to acquire rights in the decedent's property (i.e. Living Trust versus a Will). Likewise, the say of a beneficiary in the management of Trust property will be different before and after the death of the Settlor of a Trust. In this show, Bill and Rick explore some of these distinctions and alert eligible beneficiaries about exactly what their expectations should be.
What is a Role Model? Seems like an easy answer -- someone that inspires you. But there may be more permutations than that, so we thought we'd explore it a little more deeply, starting off with perhaps the mother of all role models, Eleanor Roosevelt. I met Shannon Butler when she gave me a tour of Val-Kill, Mrs. Roosevelt's private home. I was inspired by Shannon's enthusiam, knowledge & apparent joy in imparting it. That gives us a glimpse into what a role model can do.
Shannon graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in history and is pursuing that further at University at Albany. She has worked on all that while working as a National Park Ranger! She calls herself all all-American Hudson Valley girl.

During our discussion of interracial relationships many issues were raised regarding the reasons black men and women choose to date other races. As many households today are run by single black mothers that brought up the question: how do you repair the black family? What is necessary for men to reclaim their roles as head of the black family?

While foreclosure numbers have declined significantly since the peak years of 2010 and 2011, a recent uptick in foreclosure starts demonstrates the need still exists for loss mitigation programs and non-profit expertise.
