Madamwhipass & LanceScurv dissect the unfortunate situation of Elliot Rodger and the killing spree that followed his chilling YouTube video in which he forewarned the world of his murderous intentions.
It is my feeling that this is not the last time something of this magnitude will happen if we do not get back in touch with our youth in a world that moves so fast where it is so easy to become disconnected from reality.
Your shared thoughts and comments would truly be appreciated on this conversation!

Last week we talked about the HR Technology “mic drop,” and this week we’re going to talk about how to use company culture to attract candidates.
Because it’s hard enough today to find and source the most in-demand tech talent. And with the high competition for these “holy grail” candidates, it’s not just the job that needs to stand out — your company must, too.
This means you need to learn how to build and communicate a company culture that attracts the best tech pros. Period. You need to develop a work environment that most appeals to in-demand tech professionals, and all professionals for that matter, and how you should effectively promote that culture in your social recruiting efforts.
When you learn how to build and communicate a work culture that attracts the most sought-after tech candidates, it means you know how to identify the aspects of your unique culture that most resonate with your target candidates.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-creators and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn how to use company culture to attract in-demand candidates with this week’s guests: Jim Stroud, Senior Director of RPO Recruitment Strategies at Randstad Sourceright; and Shravan Goli, President of Dice.

Elliot Roger was an extremely vain and self-centered young man. When his prettiness lacked an outlet, he rampaged. Why would this slender Grinch be so offended at the sight of happy people? What features in his birth chart are similar to other mass murderers? What was it about the "cosmic weather" of late May that lifted Elliot up from the crowd and encouraged his slaughter? According to the shooter's autobiography, the attack had been postponed at least twice due to various factors. Could there be an astrological reason for his postponements?
Also, we begin the long, complicated process of rectifying this miscreant's birth chart, which lacks a known birth time. Chart rectification is the science of retro-engineering a birth time from known events in a person's life. On tonight's show, in addition to analyzing the planetary and sign symbols, we speculate about house placement by attempting to narrow down Rodger's Ascendant using astrological physiognomy.

Last week we talked about how to successfully work from anywhere, and this week we’re going to talk about the HR Technology mic drop.
Specifically this is our very special 2014 HR Technology & Exposition show, live from fabulous Las Vegas and complete with one of the most influential influencers in the HR Technology space, Jessica Miller-Merrell.
Fact is, the HR technology industry will most likely be worth nearly $10 billion (or more) in 2015. That’s the mic drop. Boom.
A lot of opportunity for HR vendors, and great news for buyers because integrated “talent engagement” software is here to stay, including recruiting, performance, compensation, succession, learning and so much more, all of which are helping improve employee engagement, productivity and driving business outcomes.
Plus, data management, social collaboration and video technologies are all still very hot. Oh, and talent analytics across the board, that’s really the big, big mic drop. Double boom.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-creators and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman live from Las Vegas as we learn more HR technology this year and next with this week’s guest: Jessica Miller-Merrell, SPHR, President/CEO of Xceptional HR, author, speaker, HR professional, and workplace social media expert who has a passion for recruiting, training, and all things social media.

The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT). The #TChat radio portion runs the first 30 minutes from 7-7:30 pm ET, followed by the #TChat Twitter chat from 7:30-8 pm ET.
Last week we talked about empowering HR and the hiring process, and this week we’re going to talk about empowering your world of work wherever you work.
Because we can work from anywhere today. Some of us anyway. While there are no definitive statistics, last year a CBS News poll revealed that 24% of workers telecommuted regularly for their jobs. (How many in their pajamas you ask? Probably more than you think.)
Could be more, could be less, but the reality is that many more full-time, part-time and contract workers are not only working from home, they’re successfully working from anywhere.
Whatever the remote mix, how to do it right, what to consider before you make the “workshift,” and what technologies you’ll need to perform better, all need to be addressed.
Today’s realities include: what it takes to run a meeting from a coffee shop, managing a Skype call from 35,000 feet aboard an airplane, and juggling the demands of a domestic situation while you’re working at home all day.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-creators and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about how to successfully work from anywhere with this week’s guest: Simon Salt, six-year workshifting veteran, photographer, writer, speaker and author of Out of Office.

Astrologers Leslie Hale and Astrologer-nyc will discuss the astrology of Elliot Rodger, 22 (DOB 7/24/1991), stabbed to death three people in his apartment, shot two women to death outside a sorority house and killed another man inside a deli with gunfire before apparently killing himself near the campus of the University of California at Santa Barbara on Friday.
Timeline to 'Retribution': Isla Vista attacks planned over years
The 107,000-word "story" that Rodger sent to his parents, therapists and several others just before the killings suggested that he was angry that his parents were not wealthy.
UPDATE: He wrote in his manifesto that he was born in the morning of July 24th 1991 in London, England. (Does not change our interpretation) However, we can assume his Moon is between 0 to 5 degrees of Capricorn.
