    in Music

I never use musical themes for the show todays show has a theme about crying I know that it is hard for a man or men to admit that sometimes crying hits men just as hard as women to go off somwhere privite and have a real good cry guys I know that we were told by men in all of our families to never cry because it shows weakness on our parts well Im here to report that all that was bullshit our parents brought each and everyone of us the best that they could at that time and I highly agreed with mostly all of it but the crying part I dont agree with I read studies that crying is good for both sexes in todays crying is not showing weakness in either male or females it shows caring and emotion in both males and females infact just today I cried my heart out about a girl that I knew in our younger days that I wanted to marry but I was scared at the time and didnt know how to show or tell her how I really felt at the time im still kicking my own ass over this big big mistake that I had made and yes I still love her after all of these years and I hope that one of these days that I get to right my wrong she knows who I am talking about enjoy

    Indie Books #88 (Michael Williamson)

    in Books

Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

Author Michael Williamson joins me this week to talk about his book: Secret Betrayal and more.

The desperate act of a young girl, on the cusp of womanhood, to lose herself in the mean streets and cabarets of 1930s Berlin, and years later, the disappearance of a key American general shortly before D-Day in 1944 are links in an ingenious plot to gain the secrets of the Allied invasion.

Through a series of traumatic events Reichsletter Martin Bormann, the man more than any other that truly ran the German government toward the end of World War II, sets in motion a deadly gambit that ricochets across half the world and gains Bormann possession of the Normandy invasion plans. In the double dealing, back stabbing chaos that was the Nazi inner circle, this climactic information is the currency that will buy Bormann the one thing that he has desired above all others: the right to be the next Fuhrer.

So unfolds the dynamic pages of Secret Betrayal. This novel is a testament to the redemptive power of love, the evolutionary power of kundalini yoga and the war within a war waged by Reichsletter Martin Bormann and Reichsfuhrer Heinrich Himmler for the mind of and influence over Adolf Hitler.

    HARBINGER:

Twice Scott Wolfe has faced this giant of a man. Twice he's barely escaped with his life. If Scott ever hopes to uncover the corruption that is shaping the free world, a confrontation with his most dangerous adversary is unavoidable.

Even though Scott has gone underground, it doesn't mean he's alone. He has reconnected with Kathrin, the golden-haired beauty who was with him when it all began. He'd long dreamed of the reunion. But now that Monkey Wrench and Gretel are reunited, something doesn't quite add up. Does he risk the blossoming romance to pry deeper? What if she is a danger to him? Will his emotions leave him blindsided by the truth?

Scott keeps driving deeper into the inner workings of the conspiracy, further from his support and closer to danger. Is it too soon for Scott to be on his own? That question might be answered before he's ready for it.

    Indie Books #87 (Dwayne Epstein)

    in Books

Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

Author Dwayne Epstein joins me this week to talk about his book - Lee Marvin: Point Blank.

The first full-length, authoritative, and detailed story of the iconic actor's life to go beyond the Hollywood scandal-sheet reporting of earlier books, this account offers an appreciation for the man and his acting career and the classic films he starred in, painting a portrait of an individual who took great risks in his acting and career. Although Lee Marvin is best known for his icy tough guy roles—such as his chilling titular villain in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance or the paternal yet brutally realistic platoon leader in The Big Red One—very little is known of his personal life; his family background; his experiences in WWII; his relationship with his father, family, friends, wives; and his ongoing battles with alcoholism, rage, and depression, occasioned by his postwar PTSD. Now, after years of researching and compiling interviews with family members, friends, and colleagues; rare photographs; and illustrative material, Hollywood writer Dwayne Epstein provides a full understanding and appreciation of this acting titan’s place in the Hollywood pantheon in spite of his very real and human struggles.

    Indie Books #86 (Gordon Osmond)

    in Books

Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

Indie Books reaches all the way down to Brazil this week as Author and playwright Gordon Osmond joins me this week to talk about his books.  We'll start out with Slipping on Stardust and the sequel Turner's Point.  We'll also chat about his Unauthorized Autobiography, Wet Firecrackers as well as his other writing.

    From Slipping on Stardust:

There’s nothing like the arrival of a Hollywood star to stir the passions of the people of Johnson, a sleepy small town in Ohio. During his stay with Johnson’s most physically appealing family, the star shakes up the lives of the reigning queen of the local theatre scene, her lawyer husband, and the couple’s handsome but sexually undecided son. Add a scandal at the husband’s law firm and a kidnapping with suicide demanded as ransom and you have what propels family members to New York City and Hollywood and Gordon Osmond’s debut novel to its shattering conclusion. Those who have ever been involved in small-town life, regional theatre, adolescent rebellion, or legal entanglements, and those who admire the works of Oscar Wilde and Kurt Vonnegut, to whose writing style Osmond’s has been likened, will find themselves within the fast-turning pages of Slipping on Stardust.

    in Books

Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

Author Robert Lovelle Rooks joins me this week to talk about his book:: The Guidon Bearer: A Basic Training Story

Boot Camp. Otherwise known as Basic Military Training. The rigorous and memorable Rite of Passage every person who ever served in the United States Armed Forces, whether Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, Army or Air Force has been through. If you have ever served or know anyone who has served ask them about Basic Training. They will remember. "The Guidon Bearer" is a semi-fictitious account of one man's journey through Air Force Basic Military Training [Around the year 2000]. Unlike the other four services, anyone who served in the U.S. Air Force has gone through the exact same place: Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. Here's a story all veterans will relate to, non-service-members will find entertaining and all Air Force veterans past, present and future will give a big thumbs up! Maybe even wonder if they were there when it happened.
