Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot’s rock and roll powerhouse Rickey Medlocke joins Halli at her table on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show for a rare in-depth interview, Wednesday, November 18, 3 pm ET.

Rickey Medlocke has been performing on stage since the age of three. His grandfather, Shorty Medlocke, was a well-known Delta blues musician and taught his grandson, still in diapers, to play a miniature banjo. His musical abilities increased over the years. At age five, he began teaching himself to play the guitar. At the tender age of eight, he was playing drums in Grandpa Shorty’s band. He went on to master the banjo, guitar, drums, mandolin, dobro and keyboards. And let’s not forget the voice, rough, raspy, irresistible. The kid from Jacksonville made good, first carving his way in the competitive world of rock and roll at eighteen as founder, singer and guitarist for the celebrated band Blackfoot. And then as a member of the iconic Southern Rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. He continues to tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, but more importantly, Blackfoot is back!

A conversation with the iconic singer, songwriter, musician, producer, Rickey Medlocke, on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show, Wednesday, November 18, 3 pm ET. For more information visit Halli Casser-Jayne dot com.

The Breton Sound ... New Orleans Rock n Roll

    in Rock Music

Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcome the New Orleans Rock band The Breton Sound to the Show!

Since 2010, New Orleans natives The Breton Sound have been proving them wrong with their brand of energetic, melodic, and anthemic rock and roll. The band's co-founders, singer/guitarist Jonathan Pretus (formerly of Cowboy Mouth) and guitarist Stephen Turner, have helmed the release of their first two EP's, 2011's Eudaemonia, and 2013's Maps, to rave reviews. Upon the release of Maps, PASTE Magazine hailed them as one of "12 Louisiana Bands You Should Listen To."
The Breton Sound has toured throughout the Southeast and Midwest, including stops at such major festivals as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Milwaukee Summerfest, andthe Voodoo Experience.

  • Timmon's Brothers Rock Historians The Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame An Overview

    in Music

With the release of the next Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees, the Timmons Brothers reveal a list of names that could be labeled a Who’s Who in Rock ‘n’ Roll and all the artists share a common bond of not being inducted into its Hall of Fame. Although the number of artists not inducted  is too numerous to give them their due in one show, the two rock historians (David and John) will explore voting patterns, possible biases (and some may be surprising), the philosophy of defining a Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, and other music related hall of fames. The artists being ignored span four decades and include  Paul Anka, Connie Francis, the Moody Blues, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad , Jethro Tull, ELO, Kool and the Gang, and you are encouraged to call in with  others. While the topic stirs debate, this program will be a catalyst to continue the discussion.

The Crash Kings ... Piano Driven Rock n Roll

    in Rock Music

Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcome the Fantastic Piano-driven Rock band The Crash Kings to the Show!

Founding members and brothers Antonio and Michael Beliveau grew up in suburban Massachusetts, playing music together nearly every day from a very young age. Yet it wasn't until both of them graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music that they really came into their own. The brothers quickly set out to leave their mark and change the way we perceive rock music.
After being discovered by Linda Perry in late 2006, the group went on to develop a unique sound as a piano-driven American rock and roll band. Linda signed them to the legendary Motown Records, and in 2010, their debut single, "Mountain Man," shot to the top of the Billboard charts, where it held the Number 1 position for three consecutive weeks.

Welcome to the Vegas Vampire show

    in Entertainment

Parker, a Wisconsin-native, worked as a disc jockey and stock car racing promoter, and even as a news reporter. During a stint as a reporter for an NBC affiliate in Las Vegas he decided he wanted to do a comedy show, but the station was not interested, nor were the other network affiliate stations. Finally, he sold the show to the local Channel 5 station (KHBV/KVVU). He picked the name "Vegas Vampire" because he liked the alliteration.

The show ran on and off for nine years. Parker even claims one cancellation was due to his ending up on President Richard Nixon's enemies list after the Vampire did a routine with a Nixon voodoo doll, stuck pins in it and put the doll in a guillotine in a comparison to Marie Antoinette.

Now after all this time The Vegas Vampire is back with guests and stories from the beyond, so tune and and have some fun
