Peter Cetera has announced he will perform with his former band mates at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Join me and a few guest hosts as we take your calls about Chicago's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the band performing together again.
Peter Beckett, the triple threat singer, songwriter, and guitarist for the rock band Player, which scored a U.S. #1 hit with “Baby Come Back” and fellow band member and former star of daytime television’s soap THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL as Ridge Forrester, Ronn Moss join Halli at her table Wednesday, January 6, 3 pm ET on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show.
Born in the Aigburth district of Liverpool, England, Beckett was greatly influenced by seeing the Beatles perform at the famous Cavern Club. At 16, he recorded his first record, “All Night Stand”, with a band called The Thoughts. He moved on to play with other groups before relocating to Los Angeles, ultimately teaming with JC Crowley, Ronn Moss (The Bold and the Beautiful’s chisel-jawed Ridge Forrester), and John Friesen in 1976 to form Player. And that’s just the beginning. He would go on to write for such notable artists as Janet Jackson, Olivia Newton-John, The Temptations and Kenny Rogers as well as for films and television during the 1980s. He joined up with Little River Band in 1989 and toured with them for over eight years.
Ronn Moss was born and raised in Los Angeles. He grew up surrounded by the theatre, concert, and rock & roll music world. At age 11, he started learning to play the drums, guitar and electric bass. In 1976, he joined PLAYER primarily as bassist and singer. In 1987, Moss was offered the role of “Ridge Forrester” on the then new soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. He accepted the part, which he played for 25 years, winning fans worldwide.
Now the babies have come back to their roots — Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss on the road again with Player. They stop by The Halli Casser-Jayne Show, Wednesday, January 5, 3 pm ET for a little reminiscing. For more information visit Halli Casser-Jayne dot com.
What set this off was hearing more and more how Farming is under attack, not only here near where I live but all around this great country.
We can fight back or simply let them win.Why do we let East Cost Elletes tell farmers what to do? Why do we allow Big ag to dictate farming to line back accounts as farmers go out of busness>
Well I rather die on my feet then live on my knees
I have a voice I plan to use it!

Tonight Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes the Denver Rock / Alternative Band, Television Generation to the show!
TVG is a 3 piece alternative rock band with punk rock energy and an affinity for 60's pop and 90's grunge. The band began in 2010 with lead singer and guitarist Will Hayden writing songs and playing with friends in a basement in Boulder, CO. After a few lineup changes and the addition of Elliott Hoffman on bass, the band adopted drummer Anthony Elio's former horror punk band name Television Generation and set forth to conquer Denver with sad, angry, socially charged rock n' roll set to poppy melodies and grungy guitar riffs.

Failure Anthem get right to the point on their full-length debut album for Razor & Tie, the cleverly titled First World Problems. The Greensboro, NC quintet—JD [vocals], Ryan [bass, backup vocals], Kile [guitar], Zane [drums], and Wil [rhythm guitars]—architect eleven impactful, invigorating, and infectious anthems with hooks so robust that modern bells and whistles just aren’t necessary. It’s a tried-and-true approach that feels timeless as the boys make hard rock hypnotic again. Like a big screen blockbuster you can’t turn away from, they don’t waste any time reaching the climax either… The group began to take shape in the summer of 2013. While working at a local Greensboro studio alongside his friend Drew Fulk and assistant engineer Zane, Kile penned his own music. He spent the day handling recording for everybody from Nightmares to Cane Hill and producing and co-writing with the likes of Motionless In White, while nights were devoted to a new project with Zane, Wil, and Ryan. After watching a Facebook video of JD covering Matt Anderson’s “Coal Mining Blues,” Kile reached out to the vocalist. “Failure Anthem has an underdog meaning,” says Kile. “It’s the outlier concept. The person who is allegedly not built to succeed is actually the one who comes out on top. That message is in the music.” For Failure Anthem, it’s all about sharing that uplifting message via the songs in the end. “I’d like for people to gain inspiration, knowledge, and strength when they listen to Failure Anthem,” JD concludes. “It’s meant to push you through the day.” That’s the point of all great rock music…For more information, visit www.failureanthem.com

Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot’s rock and roll powerhouse Rickey Medlocke joins Halli at her table on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show for a rare in-depth interview, Wednesday, November 18, 3 pm ET.
Rickey Medlocke has been performing on stage since the age of three. His grandfather, Shorty Medlocke, was a well-known Delta blues musician and taught his grandson, still in diapers, to play a miniature banjo. His musical abilities increased over the years. At age five, he began teaching himself to play the guitar. At the tender age of eight, he was playing drums in Grandpa Shorty’s band. He went on to master the banjo, guitar, drums, mandolin, dobro and keyboards. And let’s not forget the voice, rough, raspy, irresistible. The kid from Jacksonville made good, first carving his way in the competitive world of rock and roll at eighteen as founder, singer and guitarist for the celebrated band Blackfoot. And then as a member of the iconic Southern Rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. He continues to tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, but more importantly, Blackfoot is back!
A conversation with the iconic singer, songwriter, musician, producer, Rickey Medlocke, on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show, Wednesday, November 18, 3 pm ET. For more information visit Halli Casser-Jayne dot com.
Every musician has a story. In the case of the band Rock of Ages, there are 8 stories. Vocalist Barry Habib is the Lead Producer and Managing Partner for the musical Rock of Ages, so the name for the band was a natural. Vocalist Scott Elk performs his solo acoustic act at the Jersey Shore. He had the privilege of performing with the Goo Goo Dolls in Atlantic City. Vocalist Frank Simonelli comes from a musical family and previously sang and worked with Tommy Mottolo in NYC. Lead Guitarist Brad Capinjola got started at 4 years old and learned everything he could. Discovering Van Halen inspired him to take guitar playing to another level. Rhythm Guitarist Joe Imbesi loves rock and roll with a good hook. A virtual music encyclopedia, he can recall most songs and their artist over the past 40 years. Bass Guitarist Semi Quaver has been playing bass since he was 10 years old. He played with many area musicians and bands like Boston. Drummer Dan Prestup was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s fastest drummer. His 2004 achievement of 1,031 strokes in 1 minute is the 21st highest mark in the world as of June 2014. Percussionist Dennis Francese dreamed of being Ricky Ricardo Jr. and started to play drums. He’s played with musicians like Richie Sambora, Tico Torres, and others. See what I mean -- 8 stories! After the interview check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more.

Dameon Aranda and Gabe Aranda started their first band in the 5th grade. They were inspired by their parents favorite musicians: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Cat Stevens. On their first release, the self-taught musicians worked with the Grammy nominated production team of Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello. 2009 saw Aranda’s first charting single, “Still in the Dark,” break into the Top 30 chart for active rock radio across the country. That same year, Dameon Aranda received an unexpected phone call from Kelly Clarkson, asking if she could cover two of Aranda’s songs on her album, All I Ever Wanted-including the high-energy in your face rebel song, “Whyyawannabringmedown.” This song was selected by the WWE as the theme song for the pay per view event, The Bash, and “All I Ever Wanted” became the title track of Clarkson’s album. Soon after, Aranda released their second album, Stop the World, which was produced by Grammy nominated producer, Johnny K, (Disturbed, Staind, Sevendust and Drowning Pool.) They embarked on a nationwide tour with Daughtry and 3 Doors Down. There are elements of “Stop the World” on Aranda’s forthcoming release, Not the Same. The band is taking their life experiences, the changes they have gone through and channeling all the emotional feelings into a collection of songs that will introduce fans to a rebirth of Aranda. The 11 new songs, including one stripped down acoustic and one self proclaimed “disco-y pseudo rock track”, are each their own piece to a larger story about a journey that overcomes darkness. Not the Same will be your own personal light at the end of the tunnel. Aranda brings their message of hope and optimism to their audience. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/arandaband
