I admit it I am biased I'm a boxing fan. I grew up watching the sport with my conspiracy crazed uncle Glenn. I watched Muhammad Ali at tail end of his great career. I also remember other great fighters such as Sugar Ray Leonard,"Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Tommy "the Hitman" Hearns, Roberto Duran as well As Larry Holmes and later on Mike Tyson. I used to save my coins to purchase K.O magazine. boxing always appealed to me. It gave me great entertainment there is such a beauty to it especially when I see a boxer get knocked to the canvas and eyes rolled back. MMA on the other hand has started gaining steam its history is not as detailed but, some think it's better than the sweet science. The fights take place in a mad Max thunder dome type of setting chain linked fence octagon. I think it's a fad. I don't get why it gets so much love from crazy fans call in and explain this fad to me
What a year it was for the Chicago Bears...& I don't mean that in a good way by any stretch of imagination. The team came of a 5-11 season in 2014, their first double-digit loss season since producing the exact same record just 10 years prior. & as a result, changes had to be made, & it started in the front office. General manager Phil Emery...gone. Director of pro personnel Kevin Turks...gone. & of course head coach Marc Trestman...gone as well, along with offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer. Quarterbacks coach Matt Canavaugh's contract was not retained by the organization as well. Roster changes include the departures of wide receiver Brandon Marshall, cornerback Charles Tillman (who missed the majority of 2014 due to injury), safety Chris Conte, defensive tackle Stephen Paea, safety Anthony Walters, & center Roberto Garza...just to name a few. New head coach John Foz, who had taken his two previous coached teams the Broncos & Panthers to Super Bowls, is expected to bring a fresh new attitude. & what about quarterback Jay Cutler? The guy was almost traded to the Tennessee Titans & still possess a lof of money in his current deal. What will become of the Bears going forward in 2015?? Tune in to a new episode of The Rocket Sports Breakdown Thursday May 21st @ 6:30pm to find out. For 30 minutes, Rocket will discuss the Bears & their 2015 offseason & more. Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.
Shane, Chris, Roberto, Jim, and other discuss NXT, Kevin Owens, NXT Superstars like Kevin Owens, awkward encounters with Finn Balor, and NXT. Also WWE and TNA and maybe MMA. Also, when you look long into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Life is meaningless.

Carlos Palomino will be our guest, Carlos became the WBC Welterweight Champion of the world in 1976, when he beat John H. Stracey at Wembley Stadium in England. He fought two memorable wars with Armando Muniz in 1977, the first fight was regarded as one of the fights of the year. The fights were great but the most impressive thing about those fights was the fact that Palomino and Muniz were the first two college graduates to fight for a world championship against each other. Palomino lost the title in a close fight to the legendary Wilfred Benitez and retired the next year after losing a tough fight to the great Roberto Duran!
No Darrin tonight, Andrew will explain why. (And no, it's not a joking manner.) TONIGHT ON THE SHOW: Bill Simmons and ESPN decide to part ways! More Deflategate! Roberto Reynolds, MSL Miami HEAT writer, joins the show to discuss the possibility of Pau Gasol headed to Miami? And what are the HEAT's plans for this offseason and next offseason? The College Football Playoff! Who is Eric's four that will be in? Rishard Matthews (WR - Miami Dolphins) stops attending voluntary workouts and is seeking a trade. A viral video comes out showing Tennessee Titans players disgusted with the Marcus Mariota selction. And could the legal marijuana business eventually trump the NFL in revenue?? PLUS MORE!!!! You can call into the show at (929) 477-1592 and you can tweet the show @andrewrpowell or @305SportsNLife. The Andrew Powell Show w/ Darrin Williamson and Eric Robinson will have a new schedule starting next week: Sunday-Thursday LIVE from 8:00 PM EST to 10:00 PM EST, and will be pre-recorded and broadcasted nationally (and in Canada) Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM PST to 10:00 AM PST on WGTSDB Radio!
Many moons ago - before the invention of Ritalin or the Internet - a young, broke college student named Roberto Antonio Smiley signed up for a stand-up competition at his Student Union Building. The prize money was $500, which was nearly 5 months rent for the "efficiency" closet Smiley was living in at the time. Though he had never stepped on a stage, and the only prior laughs he had gotten were due to his colossal leprechaun ears, he went for the gold. When he arrived, his only competition was a grown man wearing an oversized sombrero with no act... so... he won the money and the tender hearts of his fellow students. The rest is history.
Since that incredibly average performance, Roberto shortened his name to "Bob" and started a caffeine-induced tour spreading laughter and gaiety to the masses. As a novice jokester, Smiley honed his talents as the merch-managing MC for bands like Newsboys, Third Day, and Mercy Me. This exposure, along with the fact that his act had the word "booger" in it three times, led to a swarm of goatee'd youth leaders begging Smiley to come entertain their sugar-high kid herds. He was forced to match their manic energy and soon developed a machine gun approach to comedy. Sixteen years later, Bob is now one of the nation's most in-demand and hilarious clean comedians. And he absolutely loves his job, no matter how many times his father challenges its legitimacy as a career choice...

Roberto has more than 25 years in event production and organizational leadership. During that time, he honed his skills as a trainer, facilitator and coach. Roberto has a Master of Arts in Business from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and an undergraduate degree in
Communications from Emerson College. His unique Masters degree was focused on bringing environmental sustainability and social responsibility to the practice of business. Roberto’s career success began when he recognized the importance of being able to integrate the fullness of who a person is into the work that one does. When he applied this principle to his own work life, he
experienced less work-related stress, became a more effective and productive worker and lived a more fulfilling life. He then extended this approach toward work-life balance to the teams and projects he managed with increasingly positive results.
