Today we are going to speak with Rita McMahon
, Rita McMahon co-founded the Wild Bird Fund in 2005.
Rita retired as a market research consultant for dozens of broadcast and cable television networks. She first became interested in animal rehabilitation in 1997 when she found a sick Canada goose and discovered that New York City was the only major US city that did not have a wildlife rehabilitation facility. She began educating herself in wildlife rehabilitation by going to conferences, doing research, and asking questions at Animal General, a veterinary hospital which offered to provide medical services..
Rita became a federally licensed rehabber and started seeing wildlife patients at Animal General. The hospital housed the large birds, while Rita took home the smaller birds for more than seven years. Eventually her apartment, was filled with up to 60 birds at a time.
, in 2012 Rita opened the Wild Bird Fund Center, a beautiful, state-of-the-art wildlife rehabilitation center on the Upper West Side of Manhatten in NYC. The center features an eight-foot-long waterfowl pool for therapy, a flight room for songbirds, 44 stainless steel hospital cages, 20 acrylic isolation cages, 6 ICU cages, an operating room //And much much more /The Wild Bird Fund services 1,500 animals a year. te www.wildbirdfund.org

Will be the Battle siblings, Thelma and Robert who used to live in the same house Emmett was dragged from in East Money Mississippi.
Join TRIBE Family Channel and host Joey Pinkney for another episode of ‘Voices of Wisdom’ with former sharecroppers of East Money, Mississippi, Dr. Thelma Battle Buckner and her brother Bishop Robert Battle.
Dr. Buckner shares how her family navigated periods of deep-seeded racism in her new release, "The Battle of a Daytime Nightmare." Faith, finesse and a lot of fortitude kept their family year after year, when the way of the south cheated them as black sharecroppers unapologetically, murdered their grandmother and even stole their inheritance-80 acres of oil and mineral rich land. Emmett Louis Till was an African-American teen who was murdered in Mississippi at the age of 14 after reportedly whistling at a white woman. Till was visiting his relatives in Money, Mississippi when he whistled at 21-year-old Carolyn Bryant. Several nights later, Bryant's husband Roy and his half-brother J. W. Milam arrived at Till's great-uncle's house where they took Till, transported him to a barn, beat him and gouged out one of his eyes, before shooting him through the head and disposing of his body in the Black Bayou, Till's body was returned to Chicago where his mother insisted on a public funeral service with an open casket to show the world the brutality of the killing.
The trial attracted a vast amount of press attention. Bryant and Milam were acquitted of Till's murder, but only months later, in a magazine interview, protected against double jeopardy, they admitted to killing him. Till's murder is noted as a pivotal event motivating the African-American Civil Rights Movement.
Johnny Thomas, mayor of Glendora, MS will tell us how his father was one of five Black men who assisted in the abduction, torture, and murder of Emmett Till. They also assisted in dumping Till's body into the

Is there an all out battle on young African American and other Minorities?
The arguments goes: black men kill black men daily. The N___word is used as a filler amongst those that are descendants of the missuses of the words. We are loosing Voting Rights Act of 1964 &5. Do we care or are those Rights been seen as not needed.
Let's go talk about, how far we've come from Emmett to Trayvon..
We have seen this America before, however, I'm not sure of the outcome. In modern time, one is not used to an all out war in there neighborhood(s).
