Tha Rap Basement Appreciation Show : K-Rino

    in Hip Hop Music

K-Rino grew up in South Park, a neighborhood in Houston, Texas. He began rapping in 1983 and by 1984 he was participating in rap battles and talent shows around the city of Houston. Two years later, he formed a group called Real Chill with two classmates, G.T. and Preppy J, and released a 12” single called “Rockin’It in 1987”. It was also in 1987 that he created the S.P.C. (South Park Coalition) which consisted of several rappers from the area, most of whom attended school with him.[

K-Rino says when he started out in the industry he was no different from most artists trying to get a record deal, but he says as his knowledge of how the industry works increased,it turned him off. He said the lack of creative control was the biggest turn off, he said "I don't like people telling me what I can or can't say..plus I like to own 100% of my work.." [3]

Baltimore Riots: Are we in for a long, hot summer?

    in Politics Conservative

You won't want to miss the next episode of the RINO Hour of Power with your host Rick Moran and co-host JR Dunn of the American Thinker.

The worst urban riots in a generation took place in Baltimore yesterday, as hundreds of people looted, burned, anad pillaged like starving Visigoths. The question of why has no rational answer, despite some who try to "explain" it or even excuse it.

Summer is approaching and with the likelihood that some other poor unfortunate criminal will die at the hands of police, can we expect similar events in other big cities across the country? We'll talk about this possibility and other issues associated with the riots with Hot Air's Jazz Shaw.

The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.

Is the GOP doing a better job of running Congress than the Democrats?

    in Politics Conservative

Join us for another informative episode of the RINO Hour of Power with your host Rick Moran and co-host Doug Mataconis from the blog Outside the Beltway.

Republicans have strung together a couple of legislative successes in recent weeks and appear primed to bring several bi-partisan bills to the floor in the near future. It appears that they are accomplishing more than the Democrats. Is that true? And can we expect it to continue?

We'll ask our guest, Rod Kackley of PJ Media about this and other current events making news in Washington.

The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.

Hillary announces: Should we even bother to count the votes?

    in Politics Conservative

You won't want to miss the next inevitable episode of the RINO Hour of Power with your host Rick Moran and co-host Fausta Wertz of Fausta's Blog.

Hillary Clinton threw her bonnet into the ring (yeah, I'm a misongynicstic creep) this week, with Marco Rubio close behind. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are old news comparatively, but with the Republican field taking shape, you might ask what's the point?

With the press in full hagiagraphic mode, Hillary Clinton is not only being portrayed as the inevitable Democratic nominee, she's being installed in the Oval Office already. Needless to say, Rubio, Paul, Cruz, and a host of other Republicans will have something to say about that.

Rich Baehr, political correspondent at the American Thinker will join the panel discussing the 2016 presidential race.

The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.

ARE YOU GOING TO THE DEMOCRAT-RINO DANCE?

    in Politics Conservative

A MOMENT OF SILENCE IS A MUZZLE ON RELIGION. GOD LOVES TO HEAR HIS PRAISES SHOUTED. KING NORTH CAROLINA HAD TO REMOVE A STATUE OF  A PRAYING GI FROM A CEMETARY. ONE ATHEIST FILED A CASE COURT. AND THE TOWN FOLDED DUE TO LACK OF FIGHT BACK MONEY. THE ACLU WAS FOUNDED BY A COMMUNIST. COCO COLA LAYS OFF 1800 EMPLOYEES. MERCEDES MOVES IN NEW JERSEY HQ TO GEORGIA. CHRISTY IN TEXAS PLAYING HUGGY. ONE ARMED GUARD AT SANDY HOOK COULD HAVE STOPPED THE KID KILLER. TWO GUARDS EVEN BETTER.

Indiana religious freedom law: Bigotry or defending the 1st Amendment?

    in Politics Conservative

The new religious freedom law in Indiana has created massive controversy. What does the law really say? And should Indiana be punished for establishing it?

The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.
