What a world, what a world what a world! So much is happening that I can't even decide what to talk about tonight. So we will go with the news and see where it leads us.
The economy. Presidential Politics. The newly revived fued between Capitol Hill and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Terrorism. Immigration. The Supreme Court disses the gay community .... again. Jobs. Housing. Banks. Insurance. The IRS. Ooooooooo .... it is nearly tax season.
Everything is on the table tomorrow night and open for discussion.
My pond is open. Jump Right In or wade carefully ..... EVERYONE swims at their own risk.
This episode of "Stage Right" (the show that looks for conservative voices in the theatre) will focus on the 2012 Republican Theater Festival in Philadelphia. What were the plays and are they truly conservative? Are the playwrights right of center (like the rest of the country) or did they write something that seems conservative just to win a contest? How is "Republican" defined? We'll also take a peek at the work posted to LibertyIsland.com, a site that posts conservative and libertarian writings. Join us!
Ohhhhh man! What a day in the life of politics!
President Obama's approval ratings are up ..... Or are they?
Obamacare is improving things ..... Or is it?
The GOP can govern .... Or can they?
The Democrats still matter .... Or don't they?
The people went all in in 2014 .... Or did they?
These questions can be answered .... Or can they?
Tonight, we will bounce around the world of politics that is no different anymore than any of the games children play.
Jump Right In or wade carefully, but remember ..... In my pond EVERYONE swims at their own risk.
American Vernacular takes aim at the hypocrisy of Facebook and its less-than-rightful owner, Mark Zuckerberg, the company's support of right-wing social and political agendas, its insidious suppression of 1st amendment rights according to its code of decency and outsourced content control, and why Facebook has become the most sophisticated weapon for the killing free speech and expression in American politics while dismantling the fundamental ideals of the US Constitution. Can money be allowed to buy that?
This is your chance to challenge the idea and meaning of social media and why the timing might be perfect for Google+ to become serious competition for those seeking an alternative for social and political expression. Tune in and join the conversation at (619) 768-2924.

The President has been on a tear lately. He is talking about what likely he would like his ultimate legacy to be, middle-class economics. What exactly is middle-class economics?
Middle-class economics is rather simple. It is based on simple mathematics. It is based on fairness. It is based on creating a society where all have their basic needs met. It is about equal access to success.

This week's show fill feature Tom Cirignano who will discuss an ethical dilemma he faced.
Tune in at 12noon CST on Thursday, January 15th
Thomas Cirignano moved to South Boston as a young man and took over his father's auto repair business. He later went on to author two books: His autobiography, titled, The Constant Outsider: Memoirs of a South Boston Mechanic, gives readers a chilling look at what went on in South Boston during the 1970s and '80s, the era of mobster "Whitey" Bulger's reign of terror," as Tom calls it. Due to its time and place in Boston's tumultuous history, along with the situations and people Tom encountered, The Constant Outsider is an exciting story in its own right. But in Tom's second book, titled, 67 Cents: Creation of a Killer, he explores an even more bizarre existence. Within this fictional adaptation of his memoir, Tom answers the following question which had lurked in the back of his mind for years. "How might my life have evolved had I taken the alternate path to crime and violence which truly was available to me?"
