"Everything You Need" with Min LaKesha Richmond

    in Christianity

Do you expect a spouse or a close friend to provide everything you need?  If the answer is yes, you should wonder who actually supplies all their needs.  Depending on someone else to do what our Father in heaven does is not exercising Total Faith in the one who provides.  Minister LaKesha Richmond will walk us through some key verses in scripture that will encourage us to maintain our Focus, our Faith and our Fellowship on THE ONE who supplies "Everything You Need".

    Talking in Circles: Richmond Preview

    in Sports

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles we'll discuss the new deal for the Nationwide Series where, as of January 1st it will be known as the Xfinity Series. A big 10-year deal for NASCAR for the second-tier series and we'll talk about the implications for this deal and the fine print as well.

Also, This week in NASCAR history brings us back to September 7, 1991, at Richmond. "Handsome" Harry Gant wins the second race of four straight wins in the number 33 Skoal Bandit Oldsmobile. Harry earned the nickame, "Mr. September" for his dominance in both the Winston Cup and Busch Series races that month, winning 5 straight Busch races and 4 straight Cup races.

Also, there will be a new team debuting at Richmond. Beard Motorsports, owned by Mark Beard, of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. With the field being 44 cars for 43 spots, and not having owner's points, it's going to be a tall task for the number 75 Chevrolet driven by Clay Rogers, who is also looking to make his Sprint Cup debut. Clayton and Brandon will talk about this team's chances at making the race at Richmond, and how interesting Friday will be for this team.

Finally, the Richmond preview, picks to win, as the regular season winds down, and we head into the chase, we'll see who we all think will make the final few spots in the chase.

It's going to be an interesting show, and we can't wait to have you along, on Talking in Circles.

    in Sports

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles, we discuss Saturday Night's Federated Auto Parts 400 @ Richmond International Raceway. Brad Keselowski wins his fourth race of 2014.

We'll discuss about the racing at Richmond, and what we thought of it. There were only two leaders the whole race, and the racing was down significantly.

We'll talk about some strong runs for some drivers.

Both series the driver won from the pole.

We'll pick the 4 drivers that we don't think will advance to the next round in the chase.

Also, we'll talk about The Nationwide Series race and whether or not they need to tweak their qualifying format.

Artist, Activist and Storyteller, Paul Richmond

    in LGBT

Paul Richmond is an artist, activist, and storyteller. His work often incorporates elements of pop culture, politics, and his own experiences as a gay man. You can see all of his work, purchase some prints and more at http://paulrichmondstudio.com. His latest series, War Paint, explores ideas of identity and masculinity through expressive, figurative paintings of men covering their bodies with paint. He enjoys working with models who have made important or interesting contributions to LGBT culture, and he's painted everyone from Jack Mackenroth to Perez Hilton. Many of the "gaylebrity" models were a part of his Cheesecake Boys series, a gay/male spin on classic pin-up art from the 40's and 50's.

When he's not painting, he is busy with a non-profit organization that he founded with his childhood art teacher called the You Will Rise Project. Their mission to empower young people who have experienced bullying to speak out through the creation of uncensored artworks. He was bullied horribly as a kid and having a creative outlet made all the difference. He does free workshops for young people, a mentorship program connecting college artists with bullied high school students, a special project last spring called Art For Michael in support of an 11 year old boy who attempted suicide after being bullied for his love of My Little Pony, and a new social media photo campaign called #SelfieRespect. Visit: http://youwillriseproject.com.

Him and his husband  are involved with the fight for marriage equality as well. They were married a year and a half ago with a group of 24 other LGBT couples who rode a bus to Washington DC and had our ceremony in front of the Supreme Court building just days before DOMA was repealed.

Howard E Richmond MD discusses trust and miracles

    in Self Help

Howard E Richmond MD is a transformational psychiatrist with a message for consciously seeking people who want to shift energy-draining reactions to realign body, mind and spirit. This episode is trust and miracles.

One of the lessons Dr. Richmond has learned over twenty years in private practice is the value of being “out of your mind” and into your heart. This philosophy is beautifully displayed in The Healing Field, his first novel. The Healing Field is a riveting account of the healing breakthrough that saved his patient’s life and transformed his own. The book chronicles the daring, out of the box healing journey with his anorexic patient “Lori,” who was determined to die. Between her desperation and his determination, they become locked in a battle for life that crosses conventional boundaries and reveals that healing and freedom come in surprising forms.

Dr. Richmond practices hot yoga daily in San Diego, California, where he lives with his wife, Elana, and their two German shepherd rescues, Jayde and Houdini. Read more at HowardRichmondMD.com

    in Self Help

Howard E Richmond MD is a transformational psychiatrist with a message for consciously seeking people who want to shift energy-draining reactions to realign body, mind and spirit. This episode is about the bold and loving declaration we can make that serves as a constant reminder that we are wonderful, powerful, creative, dynamic and contributing human beings. He will also talk about how we reflect back the best of others (and vice versa) when we connect soul-to-soul and heart-to-heart.

    Talking in Circles: Richmond Review

    in Sports

Reviewing the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond on Saturday night. Joey Logano becomes the second driver to "double up" in the Cup Series this season. The racing in Richmond with the new tire was much better. The tire actually weared, but there's still work to be done for sure.

Jeff Gordon finishes runner-up with the best car in the race. He was clearly frustrated with finishing second in the race. Will this effect Jeff the rest of the season?

And... Brad Keselowski was angry cause Matt drove him into the fence. Going for the win? Is Brad way way off?

We'll talk about it all on Talking in Circles today at 2PM

Live Interview with Richmond,CA Native D Demond King

    in Politics

Join me tomorrow night LIVE @ 8 P.M. on Blogtalk Radio Alamo Speaks, As I will conduct a interview with Richmond,CA Native and City Council Candidate D Demond King “You do not have to live the rest of your life feeling unqualified. Liberate Yourself.”D. Demond King lives by these words, and he is passionate about spreading the message. A native of Richmond, he knows firsthand what is needed to overcome the crime, drugs, and violence on the streets of this East Bay city because he has lived it.
Recognizing his own level of self-neglect, he changed his mindset and his lifestyle, focusing on finding his purpose and defining the influence he would have over his own life.In 2011, he co-founded the Redemption Center, a socio-economic and personal development organization that promotes social enterprise while advocating for social equality.“The thing about redemption is that when it’s genuine, it always translates into service,” said King, reflecting on his personal road of self-recovery and redemption. He says it is through random acts of kindness, simply doing things for others without expectation of something in return..
