He has more than 10,000 loyal followers on his personnal Facebook page and has starred in the Branson made Boonie Woonie which stars a cast of some of Branson's favorite stars. Donuts, life and pets are some of Rod's favorite topics. He's especially fond of a good donut. This native of southwestern Indiana/southeastern Illinois brings a lifetime of comical hard knocks and experience to his comedy table. Richard Carrier is a world-renowned author and speaker. As a professional historian, published philosopher, and prominent defender of the American freethought movement, Dr. Carrier has appeared across the U.S., Canada and the U.K., and on American television and London radio, defending sound historical methods and the ethical worldview of secular naturalism. With a Ph.D. from Columbia University in ancient history, he specializes in the intellectual history of Greece and Rome, particularly ancient philosophy, religion, and science, with emphasis on the origins of Christianity and the use and progress of science under the Roman empire. He is also a published expert in the modern philosophy of naturalism as a worldview. He is the author of On the Historicity of Jesus: Why We Might Have Reason for Doubt, Proving History: Bayes’s Theorem and the Quest for the Historical Jesus, Sense and Goodness without God, Not the Impossible Faith, Why I Am Not a Christian, and Hitler Homer Bible Christ, and a major contributor to The Empty Tomb, The Christian Delusion, and The End of Christianity, and for his copious work in history and philosophy, online and in print. He is currently working on his next books, Science Education in the Early Roman Empire and The Scientist in the Early Roman Empire.

Dr Richard Mbewe served as Chief Economist at the Warsaw Investment Group. He was an Adjunct Professor in International Economics and Management, he was also a Business Trainer in Warsaw, Poland for many years. Dr Mbewe moved to Poland in 1983 after being awarded a scholarship by Zambia's Bursaries Committee where he studied Chemical engineering and Economics. He moved back to Zambia in February 2012 where he has worked as a lecturer between three institutions namely; University of Lusaka, Kenneth Kaunda Metropolitan University and Copperstone University. He is also a part time lecturer at the Zambia Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies and a freelance consultant mainly for the Zambia Institute of Marketing. Dr Mbewe is our guest on PERSPECTIVES to discuss his experience of the transition in settling back in Zambia and his recent comments on the standards of higher education in the numerous universities mushrooming in the country.
