How I simplify it to better understand what Jesus Christ was saying to John the Apostle to pass onto us the believers.
Could Jesus still be marred from the crucifixion? How can Jesus be the Lamb as well as the Lion? Does the translation of Revelation 5:9-10 use the word "us" or "them", and why is this important? God's Word can and will supernaturally change our lives! Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and
Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever. And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place. “And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.” I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. But he said to me, “Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book. Worship God.” And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy.” “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by...
In the book of Hebrews, chapter 11 and verse 10 we find that Abraham was “looking for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Just as Abraham was looking for that eternal city, Christians should be looking for that city as well. The heaven born and heaven bound ought to be looking for heaven. Every Christian ought to be longing for heaven. Every Christian ought to be living for heaven. Billy Sunday said, “If we could get a real appreciation of what heaven is, we would all be so homesick for heaven the devil wouldn’t have a friend left on earth.”
Join host and Bible teacher James R. Rice as he expounds Revelation 21 through chapter 22 and verse 5. Are you "looking for that city"?
Of all of the books of the Bible, the book of Revelation is the most misunderstood and misterpreted book of them all.
Last week we identied the two witnesses noted in the 11th Chapter of the book. We discovered that Enoch and Elijah, the only two men who never died, before taken up into Heaven, will be the two witnesses, during the first 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation Period.
This evening, we will turn our attention to Chapter 12. This Chapter will deal with the idenities of the "Sun-Clothed Woman", and "The Dragon", We will also examine the details of the War in Heaven, The Persecution of the Sun-Clothed Woman, and, the Jewish Remant.
Welcome Church! We are here every Sunday to read the Bible, tell personal stories and pray together because when two or more are gathered.....In a non-judgemental down to earth format. God bless you every one!
Hi, My Name Is Paul~Acts-Chapter 22
Paul addresses the crowd in Hebrew (which makes their ears perk up a little) and tells them his life story. This better be good.
He is a Jew who was born in Tarsus and brought up in a good Jewish home where he learned respect for Jewish law and customs. He's a real mensch.
He tells them how he persecuted Christians himself (who doesn't love a little persecution) until he saw a light that blinded him on the road to Damascus and heard the voice of Jesus himself. Impressed yet, everyone?
Then he explains that Ananias restored his sight and encouraged him to be baptized. God himself warned Paul that the people in Jerusalem weren't gonna take to kindly to the new and improved him, so he sent him to the Gentiles.
When the people hear this, they freak out and start screaming that Paul should be killed. The soldiers decide to take Paul aside and flog him.
But before they can start, Paul points out that he was born a Roman citizen and it's not exactly legal for them to flog him.
The Romans are all freaked out by this. If Paul was born a Roman citizen, then tying him up to flog him is a big no-no.
They release him and order him to appear before the Jewish high priests and council.
Tonight a journey through the book of Revelation! We begin to see a mystery unveiled and we ask the question; "IS IT POSSIBLE THAT OUR GENERATION IS RIGHT ON TRACK WITH THE FULFILLMENT OF THE GREATEST AND LAST PROPHECY EVER WRITTEN AND GIVEN TO MAN?" We believe it is possible and that is what wuill guide our discussion tonight.
In this critical study, Jesus enlightens Nicodemus... an ultra-religious Pharasee, member of the Sanhedrin and apparent special ops priest... on the differences between spiritual and physical worship.
This is a crucial point to understand and a critical study to attend.
We'll also see another important transition as John the Baptist instructs his disciples that Jesus and His ministry must increase beyond the foundation laid by John.
