The Revelation of Jesus with Rick Sterling

    in Religion

Each week on The Revelation of Jesus, Rick Sterling tests the beliefs of Christianity against the words and teachings of Jesus Christ, that He personally gave to His own disciples while He was here on earth. Rick brings a unique and thoughtful perspective to the study of Scripture and Truth by challenging the listener to test the spirit that is behind the words that they hold to be the truth. This program DOES NOT test God; we only test those that claim to have been sent FROM God, "that call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false." (Rev. 2:2).

This is a very challenging concept, and will take courage and discipline to carry out, but in the end, those that stick to it WILL find Truth.

Join Rick for a unique and rewarding study into Truth, Justice, and the Kingdom of Heaven.

SDG 198 The Book of Revelation and The Report Card of The Churches

    in Spirituality

    Revelation 2

In chapters 2 and 3, the Book of the Revelation, our LORD Jesus Christ gives seven messages to seven churches, what I like to call "The Report Card of the Churches".

Now, although these were literal and ancient churches from Asia Minor they also represent all churches of all times.

So when our Lord gave these 7 messages to the seven churches, He said “"He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Revelation 2:7).

    So are you listening?

But be sure not only to hear what the LORD Jesus Christ was saying to these 7 churches way back when, but what the Lord's saying to the church at large today.

And not only to people in general, or en masse, but what He’s saying to each of us as individuals because the church is nothing more than the sum total of each one of us.

So the degree to which we allow our lives to be filled and used of the Holy Spirit of God is the degree to which the church will please it's Groom, The King of kings and LORD of lords, Jesus Christ!

In this message we will look at the first three of these seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna and Pergamos.

And then next week provided the LORD's willing we'll wrap this message up with a peek at Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea!

SDG 196 Unlocking the Book of Revelation

    in Spirituality

    Revelation 1:19

The Book of the Revelation is hard for many of us to understand, but it doesn't have to be because God's given us a key to unlock the Book of the Revelation. and it’s hanging right there on the front door in Revelation 1:19.

Now this was John’s assignment directly form Jesus to write the Book of the Revelation as he hears the LORD Jesus say, “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.”

So first of all, there's, “…things thou hast seen…”. And what John saw was The REVELATION of The LORD Jesus Christ. And we'll circle back and cover that in detail next week provided the LORD's willing.

And then secondly Jesus said, write “…things which are…” and that's  the church age and the report card of the seven churches: “things which are.” and by the way that's where we are living right now. So there's a message in the Book of the Revelation to seven churches. Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea, and we'll dive into this in two weeks, again provided the LORD's willing..

And then, there's the rest of the book: “…things which shall be hereafter.”

So most of the book is about prophecy and in this message we'll briefly outline  7 topics into “…things which shall be hereafter.”.

It Is Finished! 14JUN15 Revelation: Removing the Prophetic Veil

    in Christianity

Revelation is a prophetic book about the End Times. Many churches will not even cover its prophetic warnings. However, this is the only book in the Bible that pronounces a blessing over those who read and understand it. Revelation...a book for the NOW times.

The book of revelation, the second coming of Christ

    in Religion

Author Larry Toombs will be teaching out of book if the Holy bible called revelation. Apostle John prophesied these things would cone to pass after he saw Jesus on an island and being in good spirits that day. He said he saw a door in a heaven that contained 7 seals. He also said I saw an Angel coming down from the having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. On the 1st coming of Christ God sentenced Lucifer to be chained up for 1000 years. The righteous reigned in Heaven with Christ for 1000 years. Revelation 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life for 1000 years. God loosed Satan After 1000 years and he reigned on earth with the sinners who did not survive the first coming of Christ to complete the war called Armageddon. Whoever received the mark of the beast could not eat or go to heaven in the second coming of Christ. Revelation 20:13 revealed and the sea gave up the dead which were in it and death hell delivered up the dead which were in it.

I have read this detailed, scholarly work of our brother, Siddeeq Jihad. The book is basically written and structured to help anyone who is interested in learning Classical Arabic. The book is highly instructive and well organized.

No doubt, the author Siddeeq Jihad has a great love for Lughatut-tanzeel, the language of revelation. He has dedicated many years studying and teaching Qur’aanic Arabic.

Allah has enabled him to share the knowledge He has blessed him with.  Siddeeq has had a long jihad (exertion of diligent effort/time) in learning Qur’aanic Arabic.

The book is extremely useful! It is an excellent guide for beginners and non-beginners and whoever is interested in learning Lughatut-Tanzeel: The Language of Revelation. This work equips and empowers its readers with a strong foundation to understand Qur’aanic Arabic. It can indeed lead students, male and female toward Arabic proficiency. I strongly recommend the book for brothers and sisters who are interested in learning Qur’aanic Arabic as well as Modern Standard Arabic.

SDG 197 Revelation and Ten Attributes of The LORD Jesus Christ

    in Spirituality

    Revelation 1:7

Revelation 1:7 begins with these three words: “Behold, He cometh …”.

And that’s what The Book of Revelation is all about, the second coming of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

And because it’s all about Jesus and His soon return we all ought to be living, not as though Jesus Christ were coming sometime in the future, but as if Jesus Christ was coming today.

We ought to be living as though He died yesterday, rose this morning, and was coming back this afternoon.

The point is that at any moment, Jesus Christ is coming again!

So be sure to tune into this message to see learn about the ten attributes revealed to John and recorded in Revelation chapter 1 concerning the very nature of our LORD Jesus Christ.  We'll see that Jesus is the resurrected, reigning, righteous, revealed, relentless, regal, ruling, revenging, resplendent, reassuring Christ! The King of kings and LORD of lords.
