The Restitution of the Gospel of the Ancients

    in Religion

    JS-H 1:39
39 He also quoted the next verse differently: And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the promises made to the fathers, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers. If it were not so, the whole earth would be utterly wasted at his coming.
    JS-H 1:40
40 In addition to these, he quoted the eleventh chapter of Isaiah, saying that it was about to be fulfilled. He quoted also the third chapter of Acts, twenty-second and twenty-third verses, precisely as they stand in our New Testament. He said that that prophet was Christ; but the day had not yet come when "they who would not hear his voice should be cut off from among the people," but soon would come.
    JS-H 1:41
41 He also quoted the second chapter of Joel, from the twenty-eighth verse to the last. He also said that this was not yet fulfilled, but was soon to be. And he further stated that the fulness of the Gentiles was soon to come in. He quoted many other passages of scripture, and offered many explanations which cannot be mentioned here.
    Acts 3:21
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
    Acts 3:22
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
    Acts 3:23
23 And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
    Eph 1:10
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:

Making Restitution and You (Leviticus 6)

    in Christianity

God outlines instructions for how to behave in society, which involves being honest and fair and making restitutions for wrongs committed.  Society the way God designed for things to work would be so much better than the godless society we live in today, and I do mean in this age of grace when God empowers us through the Holy Spirit to act in love toward others.

In this chapter, several offerings are covered:  Guilt Offering, Burnt Offering, Grain Offering, Sin Offering, and procedures for the Ordination Offering.

"An Apology Goes A Long Way" - The LADY JAZ LIVE Show on KLJN 107.7

    in Relationships

The old saying that "an apology goes a long way" means it's effective and yields a positive result. When a company apologizes for selling a defective product or failing to live up to their promise, it usually wins back customer trust. The apology may require rectifying the problem by fixing the defective product or by other kinds of restitution. When our mate has spoken hurtful words or otherwise dogged us, a sincere apology usually wins our respect and forgiveness.

Apologizing can be a hard thing to do. Our human nature fights against admitting we've done wrong. Emotions and pride can get in the way. Sometimes we fear that apologizing shows weakness or will bring a consequences.

An apology should admit a mistake and express regret. It's an important remedy for healing a damaged relationship. It tells the offended party that the relationship is important. An apology helps resolve disputes and conflicts.

An apology has a number of positive effects. It doesn't erase past actions or the harm done, but it can erase the negative effects of those actions. A sincere apology brings relief by releasing the emotions, anger, resentment and bitterness. The apology soothes the wound and begins to heal the hurt. It allows the mending of the relationship to begin.

By apologizing, we humble ourselves and are able to unload the guilt for our wrong action and the hurt we have caused another person. It restores self-respect because we take responsibility for our actions. We regain the love, respect and intimacy we once had with our mate.

Is There Power In the Steps or do the Steps Show Us Our Need For a Power?

    in Family

Step One: "We admitted "WE" were powerless over alcohol (addiction) - that our lives had become unmanagable." Who cares to admit complete defeat? Admission of powerlessness is the first step in liberation. Relation of humility to sobriety. Mental obession plus physical allergy, and spiritual malady. Why must every A.A. hit bottom? We know that little good can come to any alcoholic who joins A.A. unless he has first accepted his alcoholism (addiction) and all its consequences. Until he so humbles himself, his sobriety - if any - will be null and void. Of real happiness he will find none at all. Proved beyond doubt by an immense experience, this is one of the facts of A.A. life. The principle that we shall find no enduring strength until we first admit complete defeat is the main taproot from which our whole Society has sprung and flowered. It is a statistical fact that alcoholics/addicts almost never recover on their own resources, and this has been true ever since man has been crushing grapes.

Few people will sincerely try to practice the A.A. program unless they have hit bottom. For practicing A.A.'s remaining eleven Steps means the adoption of attitudes and actions that almost no alcoholic who is still drinking can dream of taking. Who wishes to be rigorously honest and tolerant? Who wants to confess his faults to another and make restitution for harm done? Who cares anything about a Higher Power/God let alone meditation and prayer? Who wants to sacrifice time and energy in trying to carry A.A.'s message to the next sufferer? No, the average alcoholic, self-centered in the extreme, doesn't care for this prospect - unless he has to do these things in order to stay alive himself. Join me and my special guest Monty Meyer aka the Monty'man from Take12radio.com this Fri nite Mar 27th at 9pm CT as we discuss dfferent versions of how people see the steps worked, then the proper way to work the steps

Everlasting Gospel Compared to Doctrines of Apostate Christianity

    in Current Events

RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS: SOME CONCRETE MEANINGS. The everlasting gospel made known in the last days is nothing more nor less than the ancient religion restored. It is the commencement of the "restitution of all things, spoken of by all the holy prophets since the world was." It is the bringing back of ancient, eternal principles, whereby men can know God as they knew him formerly; not a vague fantasy, not a simple form, but a living reality. Its doctrines, its ordinances, its principles, its priesthood are from above, revealed from the heavens, and yet strictly in conformity with all former revelations. It has not been, it cannot be successfully controverted, either in its divine authenticity, its doctrines, ordinances, or priesthood. It is adapted to the wants of the human family, to the world morally, socially, religiously and politically. It is not a sickly, sentimental, effeminate plaything; not a ghostly, spiritual, sing-song, ethereal dream, but a living, sober, matter-of-fact reality adapted to body and spirit, to earth and heaven, to time and eternity. It enters into all the ramifications of life. It does not adapt itself to the philosophy, politics, creeds, and opinions of men, but fashions them in its divine mold. It cannot be twisted into the multitudinous latitudinarian principles of a degenerate world; but lifts all that are in the world, who will be subject to its precepts, to its own ennobling, exalted and dignified standard. It searches all truth, and grasps at all intelligence. It is the revealed living and abiding will of God to man; a connection between the heavens and the earth. It is nature, philosophy, heavens and earth, time and eternity united. It is the philosophy of the heavens and the earth, of God, and angels, and saints.
