The new BTR-PRO system records audio at a sampling rate of 48khz and bitrate of 128kbs. This should allow a frequency response of 20hz - 24Khz. Mileage may vary depending on the microphone and a/d converter. Audio quality often faces a single point of failure. You're only as good as the weakest link in the chain.

1. Placebo response has many sources in clinical trials for psychiatric disorders, and we will describe each of these sources before moving on to discuss how they interact and combine to form the observed placebo response.
2. Some, but not all, sources of placebo response have significant implications for the treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders, and we will discuss these with future directions for research.
3. Interesting similarities and differences in placebo response occur between psychiatric disorders, which can be informative about both the mechanisms of action of placebo response as well as the pathophysiology of the disorder in question

Because the roots of the Christian faith are steeped in Judaism, Bible-believing Christians have always felt an affinity for Israel and the Israeli people. Our Savior came as a descendant of Jews with a message that was first for the Jews and then the Gentiles. The majority of Christians support the right of the Jewish people to have a state of their own and to live in peace like all democratic nations.
When situations such as the current conflict in Israel and Gaza take place, many Christians are unsure of how to respond. While we support Israel's right to defend itself against a terrorist organization launching rockets into its territory, no one likes to hear that over 800 civilians have been killed and over 5,000 people have been wounded -- especially children.
One response is to lay the blame on Israel as the militarily superior nation and side with the Palestinians as those who are less fortunate in this situation. In recent months, some Christian denominations have decided to engage in boycotts, divestments, and sanctions against companies which they say harm Palestinians. For example, last month, the Presbyterian Church decided to pull its investments from three U.S. companies that do business with Israel. The church claims that Caterpillar supplies products to Israel that are used to destroy Palestinian homes, Hewlett-Packard provides logistics and technology to help enforce the naval blockade of Gaza, and Motorola Solutions provides military and surveillance systems in illegal Israeli settlements...
In this piece we discuss the difference between robotic reaction and authentic response. We will talk about the practicing responding to what happens in our lives, steering clear of just a fight or flight reaction, and using more than just our primitive brain.

Can WIA funds be leveraged to assist communities during and after disaster events? How can workforce development organizations provide innovative solutions as part of a disaster response? On the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, the National Association of Workforce Boards, in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Disaster Management (CDM), released a new research report titled The Impact of Extreme Events on Business Organizations: Innovative Approaches to Managing Risk. In this episode of Workforce Central Radio, NAWB CEO Ron Painter interviews Dr. Louise Comfort, the Director of the CDM and author of the report. Drawing on research interviews with nine innovative WIBs who showed leadership in their communities during disaster events, they will discuss the important role workforce boards can take in helping their areas during times of disaster, the policies that should be in place to help maximize efforts, and how they can leverage existing programs and become a bridge between federal disaster programs and municipal/local efforts. Please join us on Wednesday, December 18th for this insightful interview!
