    Closing in on Iowa

    in Politics

Good evening, tomorrow morning on The Meter we will discuss the calm before the storm of the final debate before the Iowa caucus, on February 1st, in both the Republcian and Democratic primaries. Donald Trump leads Ted Cruz and the others on the Republcian side, while Hilalry Clinton is holding off a surging Bernie Sanders for the Democrats. This week a group of conservatives have united against Trump in an article in the conservative magazine, National Review. Will this alliance stump Trump? In the meantime, Donald Trump was endorsed by former Alaska Governor and 2008 Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin before a rousing crowd in Iowa. Will Palin's nod help Trump with conservatives? As the FBI probe continues to haunt the democratic frontrunner, her campaign has launched an attack on Sanders being a Socialist, as Sanders says Clinton is establishment. Also, Winter Sorm Jonas has pounded the Northeaast and Midatlantic region dumping as much as 40 inches of snow in some parts. New York and Washignton have declared states of emergency. After a December heat wave and now a super snowstorm, the issue of climate change once again is raised. Are emissions from oil and coal causing erratic weather and enhancing storms? Trump and Islam

    in Politics

Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the latest controversy concerning Republcian front runner Donald Trump. This week. Trump said that he would halt ALL Muslims from entering the US until we can find out what's going on with ISIS. This caused firestorm of criticism from EVERYONE, including all other republican candidates. Trump's support remains strong, so are the comments helping or hurting his chances in the race. Also, in Paris Climate Change Summit was held as world leaders met to reduce carbon emissions. Barack Obama spoke at the summit and doubled down on comments that climate change remains the United State's and the world's greatest threat. Is this the time and place for the climate change debate in the face of recent attacks by ISIS. Please join us at 9:00 AM. The call in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential. Trum

  • Hillary in the Clear!

    in Politics

Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss Hillary Clinton's testimony at the House Select Committee on Benghazi. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R) FL led the questioning of the former Secretary of State, US Senator, and First Lady on the terrorist attack that killed four Americans on Septemeber 11, 2012. Hillary Clinton continue her insistence that she did nothing wrong in connection to the attacks. Most polls show the Democractic front runner unscathed front he hearings. With Joe Biden declining to enter the race and two other democrats dropping out of the race, will Hillary cruise to the nomination? On the Republcian  side an Iowa poll shows Dr. Ben Carson leading Donald Trump. Does this indicate a Trump slide? Please join the debate at 9:00 AM. The call in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.

    WildCard Wednesday

    in Politics Conservative

We are dedicating Wednesdays to interviewing, featuring, and vetting conservative candidates for office in the upcoming House & Senate elections. Today we will interview Dennis Linthicum, candidate for congress from Oregon's 2nd district.

There are two things that attract me to this camapign.  First, Dennis himself. He is a constitutional conservative and strongly pro-life.  The second thing, is long term incumbent Greg Walden.  Walden has served too long and has drifted left as he has become an entrenched member of the GC establishment.  Walden's 57% rating from Heritage Action is even lower than the pathetic, D- 65% Republcian congressional average.

We will also play an interview, with permission, from the nationally syndicated Steve Deace show, in which he interviewed a candidate we have already endorsed.  That is Commander Peter Greenwald, who is challenging GOP majority leader Eric Cantor.
