CUTV News Radio spotlights Cheryl Ginnings Consulting

    in Family

Lawton, OK – We often get so wrapped up in what’s happening to us, we believe we’re the only ones who have ever had to deal with our problem. No matter what we go through, someone else has already gone through it. You’re not alone. There’s someone out there to help you.

Cheryl Ginnings is an international speaker, best-selling author and the founder of Cheryl Ginnings Consulting. Drawing on her personal experience caring for a special needs child, Cheryl speaks with a sincere heart to uplift and inspire others.

“I understand the problems these families face,” says Cheryl. “They have no voice unless we speak up for them. I want to be that voice, and it’s my responsibility to help others find their voice as well.”

In the recently published #LOVE: A New Generation of Hope compiled by Anita Sechesky, Cheryl shares how having a son with cerebral palsy has brought so much love into their home. Cheryl's story is a reminder that out of the pain of suffering can come many blessings, but it takes courage to overcome.

Today, Blake is 45 years old. He loves sports, going on trips and pizza. But according to Cheryl, many parents aren’t equipped to handle the major financial burdens of their special needs children. In addition, feeling consumed by another person’s needs can lead to isolation and loneliness. She says the number one problem parents face is wondering what other people think of them.

“Your attitude is the key to how you live your life,” says Cheryl. “We knew why Blake had cerebral palsy, but it didn’t answer what we were going to do about it. You have to fight for your children and leave that negative attitude behind you."

5 Ways to Save On Your Homeowners Insurance

    in Motivation

    Save on Homeowners Insurance

    1.  Raise your deductible- the lower your deductible the higher your premium

Example: You had a fire in your home and the estimate for renovation is $15,000.00 and your deductible is $500 the insurance company would send you a check for $14,500.00

    2. Bundle your insurances-like auto, home and life that may give you up to 15% discount

    3.  Ask for discount- Example: living near fire station, security system, deadbolt locks, history of being claims free, home renovations (new wiring, sensors that detect gas and water leaks and not smoking)

    4.  Shop around on a regular basis-sometimes staying with your current company gives loyalty rewards (insurancequotes.com and netquotes.com)

    5. A high credit score

Edward Brown, author of The Time Bandit Solution and co-founder of the #1 firm in culture change management consulting and training, Cohen Brown Management Group, and shares insight on Courage, Cowardice, and Your Career: Why Conquering Fear is an Essential Third-Space Skill.
Brown believes the single most essential third-space skill to be a leader in today’s world is courage. Not the absence of fear, because fear is innate, but the ability to overcome fear. Leaders who don’t learn courage will be forever hobbled by the constraints of their fear. And Brown has five simply, yet effective ways this can be taught.

Whether it’s fear of confronting honestly, fear of exposing weakness, fear of selling or fear of bigger challenges to name a few, with candid, insightful and eye-opening ideas on courage in the workplace.
