Whitney Kirksey is a 22 year old young lady from Mobile Alabama, a preacher's kid and student. She is the daughter of Bishop Roger Kirksey and First Lady Angela, choir director and youth leader of Kingdom Builders Praise Team,
She was diagnosed with Crohns and colitis disease at the age of 19, an inflammatory bowel disease. She lost 16 ounces of blood and was an hour away from death. She states " If I would have went on like I was I could have died". She had to get a colonoscopy to repair the damages that's was going on inside of her. While getting the colonoscopy, she was still losing 13 ounces of blood. She lost 20 pounds, and got down to a size 0. She was on a strict diet and couldn't go to school, work, or church.
Whitney talks about being healed of a disease, debt and near death experience. She is a power house with a powerful testimony. Her test and trials have made her stronger and she uses her gifts and life to make a difference in the lives of many young people.
Guest Marshiela Hall stops by the studio to talk about from stripping to praising.
Marshiela serves as the active Chaplin for the Atlanta Chapter of BWN SisterHood (Black Women Networking). She is an entrepreneur and business owner of Beauty With Purpose for health and wellness through which she inspires others to be there complete self in the mind, body and spirit. She is currently and purposely the Founder of Prolific Purpose Arts Empowerment Academy. She is the mother of two beautiful daughters

Her passion is best stated, “I AM His Purpose for which He uses to create Master Pieces and through these Pieces each individual becomes a Master of their own purpose in Him!” Marshiela is a powerful Woman of God with a story that knocks you off of your feet.
First Guest: Adika C. Trimble is employed with the Department of Family and Children Services where he serves as the Director for the DeKalb Access & Resource Center .
Trimble serves as the director of the regional fatherhood unit where he and his staff have been successful in helping fathers secure and retain employment, driver’s licenses, and housing. This Morehouse College and University of Georgia Alumni is known in the community for building partnerships with organizations and schools to county government and law enforcement agencies. He and his wife are the proud parents of 6 children and he is very multi talented in the fields of an educator, musician and author.
Second Guest: Mark Brooks is a divorced, father of four. He is originally from Gary, Indiana and now resides in Indianapolis where he works and is currently pursuing his degree in Business Management. He is a man with a vision that uses a common sense approach to real life situations. He is an encourager and inspirational speaker to many. Mark's reason for living is his children.

ArtSees Diner Radio welcomes Susan Block back for Week 6 of Conversations On Creativity. Her special guest are husband and wife artisans, Connie and George Kassal of Long Beach, IN. Music is provided by jazz guitarist John Moulder of Chicago.
The Kassals met at the University of Wisconsin, married and have been longtime residents of Michigan City each accomplished in their own artistic fields. Connie, a painter, holds a BA and Masters in painting. She has exhibited widely in the Midwest including Chicago, South Bend and the Governor’s Mansion in Indianapolis. She is an art professor at Purdue North Central. Connie is also a faculty member of Prairie State College in Illinois and teaches at the LCA In Michigan City. George has a MA in photography and digital imaging. His work has been exhibited across the Midwest. He teaches at Purdue North Central and Prairie State College in the disciplines of photography, art appreciation, art history and the history of photography and often presents workshops in photography at various locations in the region. They have exhibited their work in tandem at various venues and operate under Kassal Studios.
Susan Block brings with her a vast knowledge of the arts and creativity. She is LaPorte County Poet Laureate Emeritus, playwright, writing workshop leader, art exhibition curator and cultural arts advocate. "Conversations On Creativity" is the brainchild of Block.
