Colorado has experienced unprecedented flooding over the past week. Everyone responds differently during a disaster and many will need help coping with the trauma. My guest is Pat La Plante, a licensed counselor who is also a member of Denver Seminary's Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team. She will teach us about some of the common reactions to a critical incident, how we can help our friends and family, and signs that someone may need additional support beyond the immediate crisis.
