Lynn Renee Miller is an international certified paralegal specializing in international child abduction working as a sub contractor for the FBI for the rescue and return of abduction children to their parent or parents under the Hague Treaty. My last case was Anna Nicole Smith and I was laid off after the recession. Since then I have dedicated my time to helping other in services in many areas to stay recovered. I own a non profit organization called WAV (Women Against Violence) operated out of Florida. I basically donate my time to help the needy in many ways. I have been involved in fundraisers and have held fundraisers myself to feed homeless families, I also work together with the BFF Society Citrus Chapter to raise money for scholarships for needy children to go to college. I have been involved a bit in radio, public speaking and television to speak about recovery, volunteered my time in detox and rehabs and have taken AA meetings in as well. I love to speak about just how much there is to live for, help other and how remarkable my life has been since. Without God I truly believe I would not be on this earth today. And the true miracle? I will be a first time Grandmother in June.

RumRadio A DOCTOR, A LAWYER, AND AN INDIAN CHIEF.
A doctor, a lawyer, and an Indian chief.
Bill Wilson was introduced to Dr. Robert Smith who was not able to get and stay sober for any length of time despite his best efforts. Robert Smith told Bill that he would (reluctantly) give him 15 minutes. Robert told him that he had taken the cure, been to therapy had been prayed over, that he had been sliced and diced more than a Christmas turkey. What possibly could he tell him in fifteen minutes that would keep him sober?
Bill Wilson’s reply I am not here to keep you sober, I am here to keep me sober, they ended up speaking for six hours: that was the first meeting of Doctor Bob and Bill Wilson.
Dr. Bob was indeed intrigued but was not yet convinced that a life run on self will could hardly be called a success and the illusion of control is the last to let go.
Bill stayed in touch and could sense a breakthrough.
One early morning while visiting doctor Bob who was coming down from all night bender and the steadiness of the surgeons hand was lost in the demand of the alcoholic tremor and the only way to engage in his scheduled Hospital surgery would be a hair of the dog to steady his nerve. Bill went to the store and got the Doc some beer. (Euphemistically called “bug juice”)

RumRadio Interview with Steve W. Big Book Thumpers Thump
The reason I love the Big Book?
The main reason I love the BB is because it helped save my life. It’s the only Book written by an alcoholic for an alcoholic. It’s flawless, a true masterpiece, with simplistic detailed directions how to put the steps into practical application and effortlessly explains God for anyone to comprehend.
The reason I am so BB is because I was raised in a no none sense Big Book sponsorship line. They did BB studies at their houses. My sponsor is all or nothing BB. I love sponsoring which of course I do out of the BB, which I believe is how you learn it and understand it. I love teaching the Big Book in BB studies format. And lastly I am a firm believer that it was divinely written.
Why I started Big Book Thumpers
One day going through Face books recovery groups I notice the lack of program (12step) talk in those groups. Most of the groups were very fellowshipish with posting of sobriety time, convention dates, lots of pictures, jokes, war stories, etc. I started to come across with-in these groups some amazing BB smart people, and also found some people on Facebook whose BB studies I had listened to in the past. I thought what if I could get all of them together in a group? An even better idea came to mind why not make it a 100% Big Book topic driven group nothing else.

A Pastoral Advocate and Caregiver
Healthcare Whisperer welcomes Reverend Glenn Mortimer to the show to discuss his work as a healthcare advocate for his parishioners and caregiver for his mother. Both roles have taught him about the perils of the healthcare system and how to overcome barriers.
His work as a minister, takes him to many hospitals, rehabs and nursing homes in the Greater Boston area. He has witnessed first hand the need for families to have someone who will speak for them during a medical crisis.
He is also the primary caregiver for his chronically ill mother. His work with his parishioners has given been a blessing in helping get the right care for his mother.
He is not afraid to speak his mind and advocate for his parishioners needs to doctors, nurses and administrators. His stories are both funny and poignant. Don't miss this show.

Prisoner in Pearls
She grew up in a privileged home; good values, zero coping skills, a perfect garden for addictions to grow. From early alcohol use and traumatic experiences to prescription drugs and well beyond she sought to avoid the pain the only way she knew. With “only the best” as her motto, she travelled from luxury rehab to luxury rehab. In between rehabs the relapses became more and more severe, finally with heroin. Living in a beautiful home, barren of furniture be
