I'm your host
Author Regina Bumbrey,
Regina came from a family of 13 children, six living in one house, and writing was my way of staying out of trouble and to keep from remembering how hard it was to fit in at home and school. I’ve watched family members and friends go down the wrong path and have been tempted, but because of my God-given talent, I have been able to avoid it.
My dream since I was about 15 years old was to become a published writer. I never took it seriously until I became a parent myself. I want to be able to show my children that if you follow your dream, put in the hard work necessary, and stay focused, anything is possible.
I have an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and plan to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management. I also plan to start a non-profit organization with three other people to help the survivors, victims, and family of survivors and victims of domestic violence get out of bad situations, become self-sufficient, and go as far as they want to go in life with the right tools.
Writing is a major part of my life and I have the potential to do so much, but what I really want to do is become a published writer. If given the opportunity, I know that my work would touch the lives of many and may inspire someone to have faith and follow their dream.

With constant changes happening, with constant new coming into our lives, it can get overwhelming... Yes! - it is great to live in the moment, embrace new BUT let that not overpower what we already have heard and know... Sometimes hearing what we know with new awareness is more powerful than just new...

Women Who Rock with Success will be captivated by Author, entrepreneur and Ceo Regina Mixon.
Regina Mixon is an author and motivational speaker, who continues to inspire others through her stories of faith, hope, courage and love. She has always possessed a spirit of service; a desire to help people whose misfortunes have placed them in a vulnerable station in life. While working for the federal government in her native city of Minden, Louisiana, she realized that people might need social services should disaster strike. As a result, she surveyed the city to see what was available. She then formed God’s Storehouse, whose mission was to provide residents food, clothing, and furniture to victims of unforeseen circumstances. At one point, she even gave up her full time job (with benefits) to devote her time to the non-profit. Although God’s Storehouse was short-lived, the experience of serving others, while at the same time, trying to meet her financial needs and balance family life provided her with valuable lessons and opportunities for personal growth.
A firm believer in nurturing and utilizing the talents that God has given each of us, she began placing her thoughts on paper in 1999. “I thought I was just writing a journal was the beginning of a book -sort of an autobiography- .” Entitled, “To God be the Glory,” the book describes visions, dreams, and struggles along her spiritual journey to an ever-expanding relationship with God. Her interest in books and writing prompted her to start a publishing company REGS Books, LLC, to provide an outlet for writers to share their stories with the public.
“I believe books are meant to be read,” she said. ” And, I believe there is an audience waiting to read almost any type of book.” Her second book, ” Pursuing Your Purpose with Passion,” was released summer of 2008. Regina continues to bless others.
