Legendary hip hop artist and actor, Lord Jamar will be stopping by Reckless 2.0 to discuss his views on the system of racism/white supremacy. He is a member of the hip-hop group Brand Nubian, which formed in 1989, in New Rochelle (Now Rule), NY. As an actor, he is best known for his role of Supreme Allah on the TV series Oz. He has appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Third Watch, and The Sopranos. He has also done production work for artists such as dead prez, UGK, Buckshot, Helta Skelta and Peter Gabriel. He released his debut solo Album The 5% Album (an album dedicated to the Nation of Gods and Earths) on June 27, 2006. He also appeared in a much talked about episode of The (White) Rapper Show in which he criticized contestant John Brown for naming his company Ghetto Revival. Like his onscreen character on Oz, Jamar is a member of the Nation of Gods and Earths. Jamar can also be heard as "The Voice of The X Games" on ESPN.
Lord Jamar has been very vocal about his views on the current state in hip hop culture, white rappers, homosexuality, the effeminization of black males, and what racism/white supremacy is doing to black people. We will be exploring many of these topics, as well as the ever-increasing amount of anti-blackness in the media. It is an honor and a privilege to speak with one of the true architects of hiphop, and one of the very few open and honest voices of our time. It’s going to be Reckless.

Author Rumont TeKay had a thirty-five year prison sentence in front of him by his eighteenth birthday. With only a bleak appeal hearings to look forward to. The gang life, fast money, fly whips, and cherry-picking women, was nothing more than just a painful memory. Like many of his peers, Rumont took to the streets at the impressionable age of 10 years old. After his initiation, he quickly climbed the ranks within a notorious street organization out of Chicago aka Chiraq. At eighteen, he’d grown to become one of its largest distributors in the cocaine trade. Twelve years later, Rumont has been released from captivity with a different vision: Spread Venom through his Mighty Pen!
