That’s a lot of power! We are going to focus on which fresh foods make you look healthy, be healthy, fill you with healthy energy and give you a fresh clear productive healthy mind. Our food expert guest,Dawn Jackson Blatner, RDN, food blogger for Huffington Post, advisor to Fitness Magazine, nutritionist for the Chicago Cubs and author of several books, including the Flexitarian Diet, is going to reveal the amazing life-giving power of fresh foods. Along with our co-host Carolina Jantac, RDN (Kid Kritics Approved) she will share some easy delicious recipes so all your cells, and thus you, can be on top of your game!
When you hear raw food do you say, “Ugh.” Think again! Apples and berries are raw food. So are carrots, lettuce and tomatoes. Question is, how do you make an entire meal out of raw food that is not tasteless and boring? To answer this, our guest, Chef Andy from Juiceataria (Juice Bar and Raw Food Vegan Café), will be in our Family Food Experts Kitchen to share his amazing recipes, his raw food ideas, all of which are full of flavor. How do I know this? For one, originally he was an Italian chef with an Italian Restaurant, Talia’s Tuscan Table so he is gifted at using fresh herbs and spices for seasoning. Better yet, I go to Juiceataria at least once a week for a smoothie, slice of pizza, lasagna or his to-die-for Gelato! I admit, I used to avoid raw food meals. No more! Chef Andy had changed my thinking and he will change yours too! Co-host Carolina will further encourage you with why eating living raw food is a healthy decision. To support this truth, Chef Andy will tell you his personal story of why he turned to raw food to save his daughter’s life.
