  Raised in Philadelphia, Randi’s appreciation for preparing good foods began at home and in her grandmothers’ kitchens. Drawn to the mountains in Colorado, she attended The University of Denver, majoring in Psychology then returned to Philadelphia for graduate school in Education. Yet it was in the country outside of Philly that she found a new love, her horse. Longing for the mountains after graduating she got a teaching position in Colorado. So she packed up her horse and dog, and drove back.
  Yet this career came to an abrupt end in the early 90’s due to a rare medical disease. She never gave in to this disease, instead began her career as The Muffin Lady. Her customer’s inspired her to teach and share with words through the pages of her first cookbook: Baking at High Altitude. 
  Sharing Mountain Recipes, 2006, is her second cookbook. The third cookbook Love More Feed Less, helps many parents while also being donated to food banks and libraries.
