You ever wonder if you were all of sudden you were put in charge of an Athletic Department.  What are the first three things you should do? Should your position be to keep status quo or should you apply for the position.  We chat about this a more this week with Shelley Davis, Interim Athletic Director for Howard University.

Come listen to her career path, her advice for others who seek a career in Sports Administration, and her current initiatives.  Right here On A Chat in the Garden with Monique A J Smith, where Significances Blooms via  347-989-8385 or www.chatinthegarden.com Tuesday, August 11 at 11:30 am est.  Season 2

  • It's All About A Garden. The Tree Of Life

    in Religion

Please join me Tuesday July 28th at 9:30 am.CST as I talk about the Garden Of Eden. Thanks for the inspiration Tamara. What happened in the garden is of great significance. Adam and Eve only knew good. They were in the garden of God. They walked in the cool of the day with Him. The serpent hates Gods creation. If he could get them to question what God really said. If he could persuade them God was withholding something from them. That  they would be like God , and know good and evil. He could get into the realm of Eden and usurp their authority. They already were created in Gods image and likeness, and walked in the cool of the day with The One Who is wisdom.God warned Adam  what would happen if they ate of the tree  of good and evil.that they would surely die .But  He gave them free will to choose .The serpent told her in Genesis 3:5 that their eyes would be opened and that they would be like God. They were already like Him , yet they didnt have to know evil. Now their eyes were opened to darkness , to the devils kingdom. They immediately experienced shame. Yet in all this God covered them in His mercy. Jesus came to restore what He did not steal, so we could once again eat from the tree of life. Yes! It's all about a garden! Hope you can join me ~ Char

SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN: THE BLESSED RAIN

    in Lifestyle

THIS SUMMER HAS BEEN ONE OF LOTS OF RAIN AND SOME PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT, ESPECIALLY AT A TIME LIKE THIS WEEKEND. YES, RAIN CAN RUIN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, BUT DON'T YOU REMEMBER THOSE NEARLY FOUR YEARS OF DROUGHT-LIKE CONDITIONS NOT VERY LONG AGO?  RAIN IS A BLESSING FROM GOD THAT GIVES US LIVE.  TRY SURVIVING WITHOUT WATER AND YOU'LL BE BEGGING FOR IT.  SO INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ABOUT IT, REVEL IN IT AND THANK GOD ABOVE FOR THIS GIFT THAT WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT.  IT WILL STOP IN DUE TIME AND YOU MAY BE WISHING FOR IT AGAIN SOONER THAN YOU THINK.

SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN IS A SHORT PEACEFUL TIME WHEN YOU CAN REMEMBER GOD AND HIS SON THE SAVIOR AND WORSHIP HIM IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME.  SHORT, SWEET AND TO THE POINT BUT ALWAYS ON POINT WITH WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT: OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR MAKER.  HOPE YOU'LL JOIN ME.
