There are very few moments that can happen in one’s life that can change everything forever. In a split second your relationships change, your job, your finances, your home, your clothes, your independence. One moment gone terribly wrong and it’s all different. On May 23, 2010, Rachelle Friedman was playfully pushed into a pool by her best friend at her bachelorette party just weeks before her wedding. She hit the bottom of the pool head first, breaking her neck and causing a severe spinal cord injury. Rachelle had to face a difficult fact. She was now paralyzed from the chest down and would be a quadriplegic for the rest of her life.
Rachelle could have easily given up on life, constantly asked why her and wondered what if? But she made the decision to move forward in her life with positivity and determination. 13 weeks after her injury she began playing adapted sports such as wheelchair rugby, hand cycling and even surfing. Within a year she had appeared on The Today Show, Headline News, MSNBC, Inside Edition and numerous news outlets both nationally and internationally to share her story of love, commitment, loyalty, and perseverance. She has been featured in Cosmopolitan magazine, In Touch magazine and as a guest on Vh1′s Couples Therapy.
Grief Diaries hosts Lynda Cheldelin Fell & Angie Cartwright invite listeners to share the evening with Rachelle on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 6:00 pm pacific / 9 pm eastern. Listeners are welcome to call the live broadcast at 855-345-4718.

Carson Buckingham knew from childhood that she wanted to be a writer and began, at age six, by writing books of her own, hand-drawing covers, and selling them to any family member who would pay (usually a dime) for what she referred to as “classic literature.” When she ran out of relatives, she came to the conclusion that there was no real money to be made in self-publishing, so she studied writing and read voraciously for the next eighteen years, while simultaneously collecting enough rejection slips to re-paper her living room…twice.
When her landlord chucked her out for, in his words, “making the apartment into one hell of a downer,” she redoubled her efforts, and collected four times the rejection slips in half the time, single-handedly causing the first paper shortage in U.S. history.
But she persevered, improved greatly over the years, and here we are.
Carson Buckingham has been/is a professional proofreader, editor, anthologist, newspaper reporter, copywriter, technical writer, novelist, short story writer and comedy writer. She loves reading and gardening; but not at the same time. Though born and raised in Connecticut, she lives in Arizona now—and Connecticut is glad to be rid of her!

Today "In the Pickle Barrel" we are starting our look at possible President Want-to-bes" for the the 2016 Elections. Yep, itis less than 2 years until we have to make another big decision.
Today, we will look at Dr, Ben Carson. Is he a breath of fresh air? Is he another Barack Obama? Does he have a chance to win?
The expected Presidential Amnesty appears to be a done deal. It is expected President Obama will indeed sign an Executive Order granting 10K-20K Illegal Aliens to remain in the United States. Obviously, there are a lot of opposing feelings about this action.
How will the Republicans and other conservatives respond to the action? Will they roll over and say so what? Will they take the case to court? What can they do?
These topics and more starting at 8AM-10AM EST.
There's room for you "In the Barrel" so jump in and let's chat.

On this edition of Carson's Corner, Bob flys solo this week, as he discusses some of the issues facing the working class. First, as Election Boycott Advocate and former campaign manager of Ralph Nader Christopher Driscoll said on this show, there are so many bubbles in the economy that are bound to burst. We'll discuss this, plus, the effects of income inequality are part of the new normal of capitalism; and of course, Bob will discuss why he is an Election Boycott Advocate, as well as some up-coming plans for a new show television show with a member/supporter of the Zeitgeist Movement.
On The HITS Radio Show, host Randy Cruz chats with ESPN New York writer Ian Begley and Wall Street Journal writer Chris Herring about the current Knicks and NBA season.
