On this episode of Carson's Corner, we will continue our analysis of the issues raised in Paul Street's new book, "They Rule: The 1% vs Democracy." We will discuss the dominance of the financial sector, and how we went from industrial to finance.
Yesterday, host Bob Carson wrote this statement for http://electionboycott.weebly.com/
In 2008, I supported President Obama (although I didn’t vote, and have never voted in an election) under the belief that President Obama was the alternative to the conditions we faced at that time. Shortly after his election, it became apparent that Obama was indeed a more effective evil in advancing the corporate agenda of the ruling class. He famously told Wall Street executives, the very people that melted our economy, “I am here to help.”
A wise man named Jacques Fresco once said, “Politicians are not elected to change things, they are elected to keep things the same.” Keeping things the same entails a furtherance of the corporate state, which makes life in America unbearable for those not in the ruling class. Since it is obvious you cannot work within the system for change, boycotting the elections is the most effective form of dissent. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again.
Bob will break this down further.
Join the Jazzy Vegetarian, as she welcomes television star and actress, Rachelle Carson-Begley to discuss Green Tips for your home and lifestyle!Rachelle Carson-Begley and her husband, Ed Begley recently wrapped their third season of their own show “Living With Ed” on Discovery’s Planet Green. It’s about their wonderfully wacky lifestyle that hopefully one day will be more mainstream. But, today, it’s still a novelty. They live in a solar powered house, and drive a Prius or Ed’s all-electric car around LA. They recycle everything! It’s been an adjustment to live like he does, but she managed to adjust. She has said she feels a little like Eva Gabor in “Green Acres.” Over the years, Rachelle has supported many charities, including Water Keepers, Green Wish, and Alzheimer’s Disease. Rachelle has worked in theater, films and TV for 27 years, and she is hoping for another fifty! In her free time, she loves decorating her home and spending time with her husband Ed and their daughter, Hayden.
Joining host Bob Carson on this late-August edition of Carson's Corner is MMA fighter/Merry Prankster Beau "One Man Army" Taylor. Most recently, reporting for the Tulsa Voice, OMA broke the story of the arrest of Lee Mein, father of UFC fighter Jordan Mein, who was arrested for sexual battery at the UFC Fight Night in Tulsa. We'll also be covering OMA's career, as he has appeared on Carson's Corner for several years.
Up next, it is boxer Tracy Sneed. As you will recall, we had him on recently during the buildup to his big super-middleweight ten round boxing match against George “Comanche Boy” Tahdooahnippah. They fought the other night, and Tracy was on the losing end of a highly disputed unanimous decision. If you look around the internet, you will see plenty of people who believe that Tracy was robbed.
On this MMA edition of Carson's Corner, we welcome back to the show Sam Hoger. He really needs no introduction to any fan of mixed martial arts. He's a first-generation Ultimate Fighter TV show star and he's a talented and intelligent person. He has two degrees from LSU in political science. He is also going to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. We'll talk to Sam about this, his career, current endeavors and much more on Carson's Corner.
In our next interview, we welcome Pete Moran, business partner-slash-associate of former MMA fighter Mike Swick. Our lawyers here at Carson's Corner have advised me to read the following before getting into this controversial interview:
"Our company, Carson's Corner, Inc., accepts no liability for the content of this interview, or for the consequences of any actions taken on the basis of the information provided. All viewpoints, facts, opinions, statements, averments, disclosures, burps, farts or throat-clearings are those of Mr. Moran and do not necessarily reflect the views of Carson's Corner Inc."
Catch all the action at 8pm est, on Friday, June 24th.
On this MMA edition of Carson's Corner, we have a jampacked show. Our first guest is Ashe Bowman:
Ashe Bowman was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He watched his very first UFC featuring Ken Shamrock back in the 90s and right then and there he decided to pursue a career in professional mixed martial arts. Ashe successfully passed the legendary Lion's Den tryouts on May 13, 2000. He is a Strikeforce and WEC veteran and is of course a former member of the legendary Lion's Den under Ken Shamrock. Ashe has fought some of the best the sport of MMA has to offer including former Tachi Palace featherweight champion Isaac De Jesus, TUF Season 8 winner Efrain Escudero, and former Strikeforce lightweight champion and UFC title contender Josh Thomson. !
The website is www.legendsofMMA.com. Remember that website and be sure to visit it. My guest today is the founder of the Legends of MMA Hall of Fame.
Tracy Sneed, cruiserweight boxer with 27-2 record, will be calling in to promote his fight agaisnt 33 - 1 "Comanche Boy" George Tadoohahnipah. They are fighting on August 23rd. 8 rounds at super-middleweight.
As if that wasn't enough, we have an hour long update with Dan Quinn. Is Dan free or is he currently confined? Find out tonight.
On this edition of Carson's Corner, Bob continues his discussion on Paul Street's new book, "They Rule: The 1% VS. Democracy." Empirical evidence continues to show that those born in the bottom portion of the income ladder have just a 1% chance of reaching the top. In today's America, there is almost no such thing as a rags to riches story, even though the elites continue to sell the idea to the American public. Why is that? What does that mean for the rest of us? As the material conditions of capitalism continues to decline, Americans are searching for answers. We'll discuss this and a lot more. Plus, in the 2nd hour of the program, researcher, educator, and author, Stu Wexler joins us to discuss his previous books.
Stu is the author of "The Awful Grace of God: Religious Terrorism, White Supremacy, and the Unsolved Murder of Martin Luther King, Jr" and "Shadow Warfare: The History of America's Undeclared Wars."
Both books are extremely relevant to the discussion we are having today.

On this edition of Carson's Corner, Bob will discuss the latest book from Author Paul Street, " They Rule The 1% VS. Democracy." Early on in this book, Paul raises some interesting points about the Occupy "moment" and how the government teamed up with the private sector to get rid of the Occupiers.
How does this relate to today? Why is it so imperiative for the elites to break up the Occupiers? We'll discuss this and more!
