States replace public workers with prison labor, slighting Unions and jobless

    in Politics

"Just as mass incarceration has burdened American Taxpayers in major prison states, so is the use of inmate labor contributing to lost jobs, unemployment and decreased wages among woorkers - while corporate profits soar," says Alex Friedmann, associate editor of Prison Legal News. ( article taken from thenation.com, Mike Elk and Bob Sloan) Here is yet more activity from ALEC and the Billionaire Koch Brothers.

Has Public Schools Failed in United States of America

    in School

Public education in poorer urban and rural areas is in crisis. Too many of the students are dropping out well before high school graduation. Too many are receiving high school “certificates of attendance” that do not certify academic confidence in basic subjects. Too many are being left unprepared for the world of work. Too many are being left unprepared to go on to higher education and advanced technical training. We are condemning the American society to the perpetuation of inequalities across lines of race, ethnicity, and class that we've been struggling to overcome in recent generations. The disparities in education concord with racial inequalities and socioeconomic class in America. The present system leaves a substantial portion of America behind. School problems are reflected in student apathy, student absenteeism, student disrespect for teachers, and student tardiness. Behaviors and attitudes of students are problematic particularly in the “senior high school level”. Restoring safety and discipline and backing up teachers who are determined to maintain discipline in their classrooms  are imperatives to recruit and retain high quality teachers.

Everyone I know see “No Child Left Behind” as a detriment to the public education environment. There is lip-service to reforming “No Child Left Behind” policies, but the focus in education continues to be in the testing process. The conversation about education is really about who will be part of the intellectual capital of this nation. Who will have access to the resources that that intellectual capital commands? Who will have access to the marketplace? And how will they access that marketplace? All of this is predicated on who has computers and uses technology now. Who is becoming technologically literate?

*The Pageant Hour* Mrs. United States Beth Isbell

    in Women

In 2014 as the reigning Mrs. Texas, Beth Isbell competed in the Mrs. United States pageant and walked away with the crown!  At the time, she was only twenty-four years old, yet she continues to represent married women everywhere with grace and style.  In this episode of "The Pageant Hour", I will get to know more about this Texas beauty.

Beth Isbell graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Business. She quickly developed a passion for learning and leading in an educational environment, so upon graduation she attended Texas A&M University where she completed a Master of Science degree in Leadership, Education and Communications.

She began working for the Texas A&M University system as a youth development agent in which she provided educational programming relating to health, bullying, character education, and leadership to youth in her assigned county. Two years later, she began working for East Central University as a graduate advisor and program coordinator for distance education and still volunteers her time heavily with programs that focus on youth mentoring.

Beth has been married to her husband Brett for a year and a half and they have one “fur baby,” Tanner; a miniature beagle.

Worldwide Plaza Public Space and Shops - College Info

    in Travel

    Hello,

Welcome to A Theory of Parenting on Blogtalkradio.com

    My name is Tammi Joyner

I am your Host for the Show

Today we are live from 825 8th ave between 49th and  West 50th Street, Two Worldwide Plaza is a post-war skyscraper.  The 39-floor building in Midtown West was completed by William Zeckendorf Jr. in 1989. Today, it is part of a three-building design that stretches an entire block between 8th and 9th Avenue from 49th to 50th Street.

The building's postmodern exterior is perhaps one of the most remarkable building features. The old-fashioned brick is modernized by a copper roof and glass pyramid at the top. At certain times of the day, the sun hits the sleek rows of windows to the point that the facade shines like metal. Terraces abound in the majority of the 455 apartments, each equipped with granite countertops in modern kitchens, marble baths, and 11-foot ceilings.

The interior garden courtyard reserved for residents is matched with the mid-block public plaza housing a diverse array of greenery as well a fountain with elaborate statues, and a nearby cafe.

    Public Poisons Effect Us All

    in Self Help

Small doses of public poisons from pollution and chemicals in foods, medicines, water and air, are contributing to a variety of degenerative diseases. We are being poisoned on purpose our whole lives to weaken the immune system, undermine our health and facilitate tyrannical control and depopulation. Vaccinations and flu shots with mercury and other toxin laden drugs; fluoride in water, food and drugs; sugar, aspartame, msg, GMOs and other chemicals in the food; chemicals and heavy metals in the environment; chemtrail sprays in the sky; and electromagnetic frequencies (EMF); are all part of a toxic agenda to foster illness, apathy, stress, mental disorders and early death.

Super foods and antioxidants are needed to strengthen and maintain health. Key knowledge, detoxification, a natural lifestyle and emf protection are also crucial to better health with the depopulation challenges we are facing. Learn and prepare with friends and neighbors to take care of your families.
