It's the most wonderful time of the year! Well... maybe not.
The holidays, with all their goodwill and cheer, may incite unpleasant memories and uncomfortable feelings for you. It's often during this time of year when the focus is all about giving, celebrating and togetherness that you may become more acutely aware of the voids in your life. Perhaps you've experienced a recent loss, such as the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or the loss of a job or an opportunity. Maybe it's not loss but loneliness that you feel, and no matter how many parties you attend or how many people you're around, you still feel disconnected.
If any of this describes you, then you need to tune in today. There is a way to unplug yourself from the dread of the holidays, and my guest, Licensed Psychotherapist, Nettie Jones, is here to help you learn to cope with the voids in your life, particularly during the holidays.
Call in, 646-716-6910 or log on to our Javammunity chat room during our LIVE broadcast!
Please join Shannon Marie this Saturday night for a dose of Positive attitude, which is often a challenge for many. Let's turn things around and learn how to make lemonade out of all the "lemons" you have gotten in life!!! We'll be rocking and rolling to the tunes of indie artist's Jimmy G and Nate Leslie. Be sure and tune in!!!

In Life Purpose Boot Camp, Maisel helps readers who are seeking meaning in their lives understand how, by adopting certain ideas and engaging in specific practices, they can effectively meet their pressing life purpose challenges. He suggests that readers do three things, which he explains in great detail in the book: get clear on what their unique life is all about, upgrade their personalities, and manage their circumstances as mindfully as they can.
Maisel stresses that no life purpose can even exist until we step back and identify, embrace, and implement the ones that we choose. He says that there is no one meaning of life but rather a multitude of subjective meanings, and that there is no purpose to life but rather a multitude of subjective life purposes. He then goes on to provide the framework and tools readers need to sort out their life purposes and to make meaning based on their personal values and principles.
“Some heavy lifting will be involved: the psychological heavy lifting of adopting a new attitude and a new vision of life and the practical heavy lifting of manifesting that attitude and that vision in the real world,” writes Maisel. “That amounts to a lot, but the reward is the highest prize available to you: an authentic life.”
