The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
David, although not perfect, is portrayed as a man and a king after God’s own heart. David’s appearance and attributes. David’s characteristics. His dependence upon God. His trust in God. His loyalty to others. His respect for those in authority. His deep humanity is evident in his paternal grief.
David’s abilities. He was a strategist and courageous commander. He was a musician and poet. He played the harp. He sang. He was a wise leader. His military activities prevented him from building the temple. David’s sin and repentance. His adultery with Bathsheba and murder of Uriah. His repentance.
Shepherd, in a nomadic state of society every man, from the sheikh down to the slave, is more or less a shepherd. The progenitors of the Jews in the patriarchal age were nomads, and their history is rich in scenes of pastoral life. The occupation of tending the flocks was undertaken, not only by the sons of wealthy chiefs but even by their daughters.
The Egyptian captivity did march to implant a love of settled abode, and consequently we find the tribes which still retained a taste for shepherd life selecting their own quarters apart from their brethren in the transjordanic district. Thenceforward in Palestine proper the shepherd held a subordinate position. The office of...

"YOU HAVE TO STAY UNDER THE BLOOD OF CHRIST IN PRAYERS REGULARLY". 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17. "GOD WILL TERRIFY THOSE WHO ARE TERRIFYING US IN JESUS NAME." An open discussion about spiritual warfare, experiences of the supernatural, and biblical teachings on the matter. Share your experiences of the supernatural with feedback from the most terrifying reality of all, the Christian worldview. Have you encountered ghosts, demons, angels? Do you know what the Bible says about this and other topics of supernatural importance?
A song of ascents, Psalm 129 is sort of like the 'Swing Low Sweat Chariot' of the Davidic repertoire. This was likely a song sung on pilgrimage to Jerusalem or by the priests as they ascended the steps of the Temple for service. It carries a reminder of the excruciating suffering of the Jewish people, a hatred we know is related to God's special favor and Satan's total disgust
The Audible Bible by Pastor Michel, Dominique is designed to keep the word of God alive in the hearing of believers as well as unbelievers. All scripture reading are directly from the Holman Christian Standard Bible. The goal is that people all over the world can hear the word where ever there is access to a mobile phone or computer. There may not be access to a television or a people may not be able to read English; however, the Audible Bible will make it easier to hear the word. 2 Peter 1:19-21 state, "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shine in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 for the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
