    Who’s the Bad Guy?

    in News

For 20 years, Michael Lesher has been attempting to shine the light on child sex predators in close-knit Orthodox Jewish communities.

Now Lesher, an Orthodox Jew himself, has a new book out, Sexual Abuse, Shonda and Concealment in Orthodox Jewish Communities, which analyzes how and why cases of child sexual abuse have been systematically concealed in Orthodox Jewish communities. The book examines many such cover-ups in detail, showing how denial, backlash against victims, and the manipulation of the secular justice system have placed Orthodox Jewish community leaders in the position of defending or even enabling child abusers.

The book also examines the generally disappointing treatment of this issue in popular media, while dissecting the institutions that contribute to the cover-ups, including two—rabbinic courts and local Orthodox “patrols”—that are more or less unique to Orthodox Jewish communities.

Finally, the book explores the cultural factors that have contributed to this tragedy, and concludes with hopes and proposals for future reform.

Mother's Day with Linda Gorin, The Best to You

    in Business

Today my guest is Linda Gorin, The Best to You. Linda and I will be talking about her business and next weekend's celebration of Mother's Day.

The Best to You began as a hobby in 1984. Soon, creating festive gifts for special people became a passion. Back then, the dining room table was the design area and a big order was more than six baskets at one time. It’s fun to remember when the thought of having their own gift basket company seemed like just a dream. It started to become a reality when they opened our first little shop in 1985. As the business grew, Linda celebrated six expansions. Today, The Best to You enjoys a reputation as one of the finest gift basket companies in the industry. They have been featured on Channel 8 and Channel 10 numerous times.  The Best to You is in the business of delivering memories!

The Best to You team takes that very seriously. We deliver joy and good will. We build grand displays of appreciation. We send "you can do it!" style encouragement, and "we’re all thinking of you" style comfort. We deliver "work of art" welcomes and memorable farewells. We deliver fun and excitement that create impromptu celebrations. We send morale skyrocketing with our employee thank you gifts and deliver warm, fuzzy feelings of home with our college care packages. We’ve been responsible for expedited wedding proposals, rekindled romances, and when someone’s having a horrible day, we can change tears to smiles.

Our team of creative imagineers is constantly thinking of new and unique designs to thrill and delight. They are master memory makers! If you ever have a custom request, a question, or just need some additional information, feel free to call. We love hearing from you!

    Lisa Moreno-Dickinson - Exclusive Interview - Thur, Apr 30, 2015 - 5:00pm PST

    in Music

Our mission is simple, to Educate, Provide Awareness, and Fund Researchers who are committed to finding a cure.
StopCAIDnow is focused on providing tools to better educate Doctor’s and the community on ChildhoodAutoInflammatory diseases. There is such a strong need to understand these diseases so proper diagnosis can be made, and treatment can be started. This will help alleviate the inflammation process, and the pain that comes with it. The need for proper diagnosis is urgent for the prognosis of these diseases. If left untreated damage to the tissues, organs and vision(for some) will not only be irreversible, but devastating.
The foundation is working amongst top Doctor’s and Pathologist who are researching better ways to treat, educate, and finding a cure for CAID. The foundation is accepting proposals from such Doctor’s and will fund their project. The foundation provides a letter to those who fund the project explaining how their money is being used. We recognize those who help fund are a part of making the projects possible and get us closer to a CURE. The foundation not only recognizes this support, but is grateful. All major supporters/Sponsors will be listed on the website, and at the Gala.

The Council on Foreign Relations and the coming New World Order

    in Education

The Council on Foreign Relations was founded in 1921 by Edward Mandell House, the chief advisor of President Woodrow Wilson from 1913 until 1921.   House was a Marxist whose goal was to socialize the United States.   In 1912, House wrote the book "Philip Dru: Administrator" in which he stated that he was working for "Socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx." In this book, House laid out a plan for the conquest of America, telling how both the Democratic and Republican Parties would be controlled and used as instruments in the creation of a socialistic government. And he asked for the establishment of a state-controlled central bank.  Both of these were proposed in "The Communist Manifesto".   In 1913, during the very first year of the House-dominated Wilson Administration, both of these proposals became law. The Federal Reserve Act was passed, which brought into power a private central bank to create the money of the United States, taking this power away from the united States Congress. And the 16th Amendment to the United States Constitution, the graduated income tax as proposed by Karl Marx, was also ratified.

President Clinton (US President 1993-2001) was a member of both the Trilateral Commission and the CFR, but his running mates in the democratic primaries were strictly forbidden to use this fact while campaigning against him; this is a clear indication of the awesome power that the CFR has over politicians.  In the China Gate scandal, Bill Clinton sold top secret military technology to China.
