The end of 2007 I found myself facing the reality of loosing over 4m in a bad investment.
The effects of that on my personal and business life.
No different than the risk people take today investing in Wall Street.
What I learned from this and how you can benefit from it today in you own life.

People Packaging is what I do... It's as simple as that. - Sylvie Di Giusto
People whom we meet make quick decisions about us. Should they hire us? Vote for us? Buy something from us? Seven seconds. This is that brief moment in time when others first see you, or your employees, whether it’s at a meeting, on the job, or at an interview. They may have some prior knowledge of you, but this is the first time they actually lay eyes on you. Sylvie helps individuals and companies to explore how people make up their minds very quickly about you, your leadership potential or your company, and either open the door for you or slam it shut. Twenty years of corporate experience, educating and inspiring thousands of clients across Europe and around the world, made her familiar with the typical challenges that professionals face in their workplace. Over the years she's learned it’s better to craft the way others are going to perceive you, rather than to sit back and hope it’s going to be in a great way. She is a professional speaker, corporate trainer and image consultant for professionals who place great importance in themselves and their powerful appearance. Sylvie is also the author of "The Image of Leadership", available on Amazon as print or e-Book.

Rob Tardik — Moments
Nov. 2, 2015
Since the very early 2000s, guitarist Rob Tardik has been dazzling listeners with his exciting and often exotic mix of substantive c-jazz/R&B/rock and burning hot Latin melodies. With tunes so attractive, they are by nature riveting, seductive, uplifting, and powerful.Such is the case with his latest release Moments, another eclectic gem.
Seizing the moment and leading off with a Latin scorcher, “Sip and Salsa,” inspired by his fiancé’s love of dance, the gifted guitarist soars from one mood to another. Examples would be track two’s sizzler jazz/rocker “Rite of Passage,” then on to the romantic R&B deliciousness of “Moments in Time” featuring the silky lead vocals of one Aiden Castillo and sweet backing harmonies of vocalists Dee and Brittani Cole, and the handsome downtempo Latin-tinged “Eros.” Definitely not applying the brakes on the project yet, Tardik treats us to a stinger with a mean hook called “Hang Time” which is co-written by fellow guitarist Steve Oliver (who is featured in some way or other throughout the album). In fact, Oliver co-produced the album with Tardik. A very cool pairing indeed.
Tardik enjoys the contributions of other very fine notable musicians here, as well, including saxmen Will Donato and Walle Larsson, trumpeter Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, bassist Gary Grainger (of Acoustic Alchemy fame), pianist/keyboardist Nate Harasim, and a host of others who felt the groove and wanted in.
Speaking of feeling the groove, you will definitely want to stop by and check out the blazing funkster called “Stop!,” a command you may have trouble obeying on the dance floor. Whew. Is there a fire extinguisher in the house?

New York City, New York (27 August 2015): Constantinople, the ancient melting pot mecca intersecting Europe, India, Middle East and Africa, serves as the inspiration for the adventurous sonic explorations of “One World,” the ninth studio album from world music guitarist Jesse Cook.
Joining primal instrumentation from all over the globe with rhythmic loops, textured audioscapes and technological experimentation, Cook’s eOne Music release, which debuted at No. 1 on the jazz and world music charts in the Canadian’s homeland, will receive it’s official U.S. release on October 2 tied to the launch of the first leg of the American “One World” concert tour
Take one of the hottest composers and keyboard players in instrumental pop, add in featured performances from the likes of Gerald Albright, Paul Taylor and Nils Landgren, hook them up with ten wonderful new tunes and what do you have? The answer is ‘Fritzenized’, the latest album from the Billboard chart-topping, artist Jonathan Fritzén.
It is the Swedish American’s fifth solo CD and follows the critically acclaimed ‘Magical’ from which the title cut blasted a path to #1 on every smooth jazz airplay chart on the planet.
The fact that even before it’s release date, ‘Fritzenized’ has already become a chart topper says much for a collection that, two years in the making, is Fritzén’s most personal to date. Writing, producing and (for the first time) mixing every track, he comes closer to his true musical vision than with any other project he has created so far.
in Self Help
Baby Boomers were raised to be obedient employees. We were expected to go to work for father-like corporations that would take care of us. But the world has changed. Those days are gone.
We now need to look at ourselves as products—well-defined products that can be promoted worldwide. This is defined by personal brand. Can you afford to ignore developing and promoting your personal brand? If you want to stay employed for the next 20 years (which many Baby Boomers will need to do), that answer is: No.
In Personal Branding for Baby Boomers, Marc Miller breaks down the steps to building a great online reputation, specifically tailored to those 50+ who find themselves job hunting or competing for work in today’s “LOOK AT ME!” business environment. How can you compete for jobs with digital-savvy Generation Xers and sharp-witted Millennials? You can.
What is a personal brand
Why should baby boomers care
How to manage it
Our guest Marc Miller’s career journey included 22 years at IBM, several thriving tech startups, a painful stint as a high school teacher, a gig raising funds for the Jewish Community Association of Austin and a near fatal bicycle accident that changed his perspective forever.
Thirty years of wandering the proverbial career desert, often repeating the same mistakes over and over, taught him his most crucial lesson: Most people don’t really know what makes them happy at their core, what fulfills them. They pursue money, status, a skill set, all of which provide some level of satisfaction, but not contentment. They wind up feeling frustrated and trapped. Others have figured out what they need, but don’t know how to chart a course to get there.
