About the Host, Chad McAllister, PhD
I was a boy who loved to take apart things to see what was inside – what made something work. Not too much of a stretch that I found a love for electrical engineering during college. After graduating, I worked with teams in In small, large, and global companies, including four start-ups, developing products. Sometimes the products made customers into raving fans and sometimes it was left to me to pick up the pieces and figure out what went wrong. In pursuit of best practices and proven methodologies, I found great value in earning certifications from several credible professional organizations, including PMI, PDMA, and AIPMM, as well a PhD in business (focusing on requirement issues in product development). Today, with 25+ years in hands-on product development, I provide training and education.

A PROFIT; THAT RESULTS IN PEACE.
But the process is more important than the purpose.
Mention the word process to any launch team, and you are likely to hear: “Who needs processes? Don’t we have enough to deal with already with trying to get this product out the door, and now we have to create and follow some convoluted, bureaucratic process? By the time we do all of that paperwork to figure out the process and follow the process, the launch could be done!”
Whether you are part of a large launch team or a lonely entrepreneur launching your first product, having a simple process will, believe it or not, save you time and sanity in the long run. By its nature, launching is chaotic. Often, people don’t know where to start. Do I do market research first? When do I write marketing materials? Do I wait until the product completes the final testing? It seems as if everything happens at once.

Doing this is no different than the way you are operating at present, regarding income taxes.All profits are considered personal income.
You will purchase a license, renewable each year and you may obtain a SalesTax certificate. Any sales tax collected will be sent to the state to which you ship merchandise, if that state requires tax on internet purchases.
You can see that you'll have to know the tax rate for any state that requires this.
With a sales tax certificate, you can purchase wholesale without paying sales tax.OR, you may choose to pay sales tax at the wholesale level, and have no tax to pay to states, with no tax certificate. You may already be doing this. It is legal to do this and add, charge sales tax on your retail price, if in your own state. Most states do not require tax on out of state shipments. (This all depends on how you are operating)
Laws on internet sales may change at any time, so you need to keep informed.
You will have to keep records and submit operating statements in order to substantiate your earnings for income tax purposes.Open a bank account in the business name, (CRS Radio). Pay all purchases, expenses and any draws that you take from that account.Don't intermingle personal money with the business.
