Kyle Fritz Valle is a writer, producer, director, actor and editor working in Los Angeles. Most recently Kyle has secured leading roles in two films. The first, ‘NO MORE CHANCES’, is being produced by La Traviata Productions and the second, ‘HART BLVD.’, will be filming in New York City. Apart from acting Kyle is also single-handily heading up three of his own films. The first, a crime thriller, ‘STAKE OUT’; the second, a rom-com ‘KARMA’; and the third, a horror thriller ‘MODERN MEDICINE’. Kyle will be able to add these titles to his festival run shorts, ‘#Love’ and his first film ‘MIRAGE’, upon their completion. He is also currently developing the script for a Sci-Fi action feature which has already generated interest from individual producers and financiers alike. When he's not writing or researching a new script, directing or producing an original production or starring in some one else’s, Kyle is working out. He loves working out and playing basketball although he's quick to point out that physical fitness is just another part of the job. The man of a million talents lives humbly with his girlfriend Erin Aine Smith (actress) and their two dogs Penny Lane (8yrs.) and their puppy Mr. Whipples (1yr) in a “quiet” little part of LA.
We're back this week with an interview with Karl Wolf, the Lebanon-born, Montreal-based singer, songwriter, and producer who's just about to drop his fifth solo release, Stereotype. He's had a great few years riding the success of his last two releases, Nightlife and Finally Free, which spawned singles like "Afrika," "Hurting," and "Ghetto Love." We chat with him about the new album, some of his upcoming colloborations, wearing the hats of performer and producer simultaneously, and more.
Also, Ottawa's Arboretum Festival has put together a killer lineup for its 2014 edition, featuring the likes of Kevin Drew, Constantines, Hilotrons, and Chad VanGaalen. We catch up with the organizers of this on-the-rise event and talk about the things that go into staging a production of this sort, along with the aspects that make Arboretum particularly unique.
We've got a great pair of aritst interviews this week, and they certainly contrast as far as musical styles go.
First up, we bring you a conversation with on-the-rise country performer Trinity Bradshaw. A native of Prince Edward Island, Trinity now calls Calgary home and has been garnering a lot of attention and accolades of late. She's performed the Viper Room in LA, the Bluebird in Nashville, and major Canadian country festivals like the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Big Valley Jamboree, Boots and Hearts, and Calgary Stampede. We'll speak to the Alberta CMA nominee about the year she's had and what's coming up on the horizon.
Then, switching gears, we've got one of Canadian rock's hottest acts, Saskatoon's One Bad Son. Over the past couple of years, the band has had multiple radio hits, toured alongside Buckcherry, Three Days Grace, and Monster Truck, and is currently prepping for an upcoming Fall 2014 release. We'll chat about the progress on that and what fans can expect from the four-piece powerhouse.

Tracey Birdsall is an accomplished actor, producer, and vocalist.
Tracey has several films she has been cast in this year, including the up-coming "Dawn of the Crescent Moon" in the role of "Tracey" which was specifically written with her casting in mind, and in the coveted role of Mrs. Astor in "Deadline II."
She has been onstage alongside TV greats such as Eileen Davidson and Judi Evans at The Malibu Stage Company in the role of Ann Sams in the production The Malibu Ladies Sewing Bee, written by Nancy J. Isaak.
Her most recent projects include "Do You Like Your Balls?" Directed by Reza Riazi - in the role of Francesa, a trophy wife with un insatiable appetite, and a force to be reckoned with. She also appeared on “The Young & The Restless” daytime drama opposite Stephen Nichols.?
Recently released “The Etiquette Show,” stars Tracey alongside a comedic ensemble cast where her zany character “Lucille” tackles traditional etiquette in modern Los Angeles. Producer and Director of “The Etiquette Show” (soon to be released), Mildred Lewis and Adam Fox state: "Tracey ... channeling Lucille Ball ... with a level of sexy-classy-powerful that is a blast to watch!"
She also stars in the comedy feature “Grounded” as Cathy Lee Peterson. Producer of the Feature Film "Grounded", Julian Phillips states: "Tracey's character is delightfully wicked-mean-sexy and she gives it more than was ever on the page!"

Crystal and Dre welcome Michael D. Ellison to the show. He is an African-American recording artist and actor. Ellison was born in Ethiopia and is based in Detroit, Michigan.
Ellison’s 2013 CD Flytanium is an introspective album that redefines the performer’s musical identity. Ellison’s recent film work includes roles in movie’s “Love and Honor” (2013), “Quad” (2013), and “Beyond The Mask” (2013). The recording artist’s AfroFlow CD, released under the moniker MIKE-E, was the first hip-hop project released by Detroit’s Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, at the time the world’s largest institution dedicated to the African-American experience.
The AfroFlow Tour combined music and outreach programs in the U.S. and Africa, and helped garner the artist international attention.Ellison earned roles in “Love & Honor” (2013), starring Liam Hemsworth and Theresa Palmer; Quad (2013) starring Emmy Award winner Aaron Paul of AMC’s popular “Breaking Bad” series; “Beyond the Mask” (TBD) directed by Chad Burns and the tornado thriller “Black Sky,” directed by Steve Quale (2013). Ellison appeared in “All’s Faire In Love” (2009) headlined by Christina Ricci and “Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations” (2009), the third installment of the horror franchise kicked off by Ashton Kutcher. His song “Aleho U Lovin’ Me,” was also featured in the film.

The Strumbellas are playing summer festivals across Canada and the U.S. this summer, continuing to promote the sophomore album, We Still Move Dance Floors. While its predecessor, My Father and the Hunter, was nominated for a Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year in 2013,We Still Move Dance Floors actually took the trophy earlier in 2014 and was recently long-listed for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. They're more focused than ever now, and we'll find out why.
Musician, composer, actor, author screenwriter, and sommelier Astrid Young released her fourth solo record, One Night at Giant Rock, at the end of June. In a special performance, Young is kicking off her "psychedelic acid folk" tour in southern Ontario in late July and will work her way west. The album, featuring Victor DeLorenzo of the Violent Femmes is a collection of songs that reflect her personal discovery of the karmic meaning of all her relationships. She speaks about the long gaps between records, some of her other musical endeavors, and more.
Finally, in addition to being a studio engineer who's been the right hand man of producer/engineer David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Tool, Dream Theater), Ryan McCambridge has been making music under the moniker of A Calmer Collision. We talk about the sonic balance he's struck between modern rock and electronica as well as how his experience in the studio informs his work as a musician and more.
