Montreal's Suuns are dropping their latest project, titled Suuns and Jerusalem in My Heart, on April 14th. Luke Nicholson's Frantic City is his most poignant album to date. Eighteen years. Twelve albums. Two gold records. Thirty-plus transatlantic treks. Fifteen Top 40 singles. Arena tours across 11 countries with Guns N Roses. A video trilogy starring Elijah Wood and Ralph Macchio. A feature- length documentary. An oral-history biography. Personal invites from Lemmy to join Motörhead on the road (and on water, for the 2014 Motörboat cruise). For most bands, that would amount to a hell of a career. For Toronto trio Danko Jones, it’s called “warming up." The band is fresh from the release of Fire Music, produced by Eric Ratz (Billy Talent, Monster Truck, Metric) and featuring 11 fresh tracks, and is now amidst a slew of global dates.
As for Faith Healer, led by principal songwriter Jessica Jalbert, following the success of 2011’s self-released solo debut, Brother Loyola, the introspective songwriter set to work on penning another collection of inward looking dream pop played with laid back bravado. Engineered under the masterful watch of whip-smart producer—and fellow Mintie—Renny Wilson, the two bonded over their mutual affection for dreamy ‘60s garage rock and swaggering ‘70s singles while in the studio. Hinting at a slightly spacier sound, Cosmic Troubles will arrive March 31st.
Finally, CM contributor Michael Saracino speaks about his new initiative, The Globe Series, which finds the musician and producer travelling to different cities around the world - from Vancouver to Sydney, New York to London - filming local songwriters and aiding in their long-distance collaborations.

Eclectic, experimental, and hard hitting are just few words to describe the artist Joshua Pearson aka Digibilly (‘Diji, bile). He’s a Drum & Bass / EDM producer out of Philadelphia, PA. His music encapsulates the root essence of Drum & Bass while bringing a new twist to the genre by including Metal, Hip-Hop, and the modern-day sounds of EDM in each composition. Digibilly’s music is driven by his eclectic love of many genres. He sees Drum & Bass as a versatile canvas that is waiting to be painted and manipulated. Overall, his music has a tendency to be dark and heavy, but all of it has a momentum that will move your feet. The fusion of sounds and beats from different genres is what makes what he is. This fusion of the new with the old is the true definition of the word, “Digibilly”.
Driven by production quality and sound engineering, he finds beauty in complex simplicity. In doing this, he follows a similar technique to his inspirations. Noisia, one of his main inspirations, has been very influencial in the sound that he creates. He also loves the energy and alternative sounds of bands like Prodigy, Fear Factory, and KMFDM. You can hear this inspiration in a lot of his heavier tracks. But on the other side of things, he has admiration and finds inspiration in some turntablists such as DJ Shadow, Qbert, and R2D2.
His debut Album, “Audible Manipulations of a Digital Frontier”, is a true example of Digibilly’s diversity. It’s a spectrum of sounds and sub-genres. A popular track on the album is “Run To Me”, which is a collaboration with the singer/songwriter Andrea Stankevitch of the group Brite Lite Brite. They have plans in works for them to do more projects together in the near future. Another interesting track on the album is ”Apocalypse”, a hard hitting track that shows his metal and industrial influences of the past.
On this episode, we will be talking to Actor, Producer and Cinematographer Tom Gore (who served his country in the US Army as an Apache Longbow helicopter pilot for 20 years!) as well his work in the genre, including such titles as Zombie Fried Chicked (TV Series, 2012-13), Nosferatu Blues: Vampire Blues (2013), Shades of Crimson (2014), Bombshell Bloodbath (2015), Fix It In Post (2014), Night Of The Living Dead: Genesis (2015), Demon Lane (2015) and more!
