The United States is the world's leader in incarceration with 2.2 million people currently in the nation's prisons or jails -- a 500% increase over the past thirty years.
More than 60% of the people in prison are now racial and ethnic minorities. For Black males in their thirties, 1 in every 10 is in prison or jail on any given day. These trends have been intensified by the disproportionate impact of the "war on drugs," in which two-thirds of all persons in prison for drug offenses are people of color.
Join Gerald E. Rose of New Order Human Rights Organization & Carla B. of EOTM Media as they mediate a forum and discuss the existence of social injustices within the black community.
Listen/Call in as the duo open the phone lines & bring to light social injustices happening in your neck in the woods, but most importantly they construct & put into place a game plan dedicated to combating the unequal justice system happening not just in the States, but abroad.

FACTS: Approximately 12%-13% of the American population is African-American, but they make up 40% of the almost 2.1 million male inmates in jail or prison (U.S. Department of Justice, 2009). Census data for 2000 of the number and race of all individuals incarcerated in the United States revealed a wide racial disproportion of the incarcerated population in each state: the proportion of blacks in prison populations exceeded the proportion among state residents in twenty states; the percent of blacks incarcerated was five times greater than the resident population.
In an August 2013, Sentencing Project report on Racial Disparities in the United States Criminal Justice System, submitted to the United Nations, "one of every three black American males born today can expect to go to prison in his lifetime".

It is unconscionable but true the arrest rate in America has gone down but the prison incarceration rate has exponentially gone up! The inner city needless to say has the greatest percentages and people of color are disproportionately affected. Public awareness is necessary for us to make the changes and the will to put forth the effort will require love and courage. The data is undeniable the question is do we have the will to address it.
Freeway Rick — not to be confused with the Miami rapper, Rick Ross, who took the Los Angeles dealer's name and identity — built a drug empire that spread crack cocaine across the country, ruining millions of lives but profoundly influencing street culture in its wake.
FREEWAY: CRACK IN THE SYSTEM tells the story of broken dreams, drug dealers, dirty cops, and government complicity. More compelling than fiction, it's the real story behind America's war on drugs. Freeway Rick Ross will be in Houston, TX.May 1 & 2 at the Shrine of the Black Madonna Cultural & Events Center for a Town Hall Meeting and a lecture concerning his infamous untold biography.
Help us welcome "Freeway Rick Ross" to HOuston, TX. as we seek to inform the Public of what Freeway Rick has learned that most Americans don't know.
