RevKess and Kalisara try to bring you a wide variety of authors and artists within Paganism, including those focused on lesser-known traditions. The Purple one himself decided to throw in his far left view point by doing a concert in Baltimore over the weekend. In the shadow of everything that has transpired in Baltimore over the last month there will be many that come out and fuel more of the fire.
During Prince's Rally4Peace The States Attorney Marilyn Mosby actually came on stage and waved to the crowd.
The States attorney and her relationship with the Gray family is causing the courts rule on if she can actually prosecute this case herself. Because of these issues of conflict of interest, it is likely that one of Marilyn Mosby will not be allowed to prosecute this case but one of the others from her office will have to take the lead.
Sunday evening I posted on FaceBook my thoughts on the issue taking all the guns away as Prince suggests in his new song where he honors the folks that rioted in Baltimore and Ferguson. As one would suspect there are those that truly agree with premise of if you remove all the guns then people will not be killed. Of course this is false. If you take away guns, what about knives, forks, bats, sticks, etc.
People also want to make a case that people get guns illegally by stealing them from people that have them legally.
Today I will take a look at that and more including the Million Moms March over the weekend as well.

The term "school to prison pipeline, was first used in the USA, however it is becoming increasingly used and recgonised in the UK. Many parents and carers are all to aware of what can only be described as the systematic way in which children are being "pushed" out of the education system. When speaking with these children and young people they often say, that they are made to feel less than their peers, they feel picked on and that they are treated differently then other students. There have even been reports on direct & verbal racial abuse, met out by teachers towards black children. It has been well documented that Black children do far better academically in school when they are between the ages of five to eleven years. There is growing concern amongst academics and parents at the large rate in which black children are forced out of school at very important stages of their academic lives. It has also been well documented in the mainstream press that teachers have admitted to "marking down the work of black students", they have admitted to having low expectations of black students, so tend to ignore them in class. When a child reacts to what they often see as being ignored or treated differently they are severly reprimanded, for at times, minor offences which their peers are simply given a warning or in house reprimand for.
