Praising God In All The Chaos

    in Christianity

Isaiah 43:2 says "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you". What an encouraging scripture we can trust God in the midst of our storms and he has us right in the palm of his hands. But do I really believe that? Or am I just saying words? Have I experienced that for myself? Praising God in all the chaos that surrounds us takes great faith, strength and courage to know that no matter what God is in control. And just because we don't feel like praising Him or thank he's not there doesn't really matter much, those feelings are up and down, cant trust those, but we can place our trust in an unmovable and unshakable God who will not flinch at your troubles, battles storms or trials, in fact he has allowed us to go through some of these just to show us he is Lord of all, and Lord of your life. By praising him in the chaos He also reveals more of himself to us and in the process deepens our relationship with Him. May God help us all when we come to that point of wanting to give up and give in , or seek quick deliverance,  for its then that we are right on the edge of victory if we just hold on and praise Him through it.

Does Praising Our Children Create Narcissists?

    in Relationships

This topic was going viral through the internet not long ago … with articles such as these: http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2015/03/09/391874530/do-parents-nurture-narcissists-by-pouring-on-the-praise

    http://www.independent.ie/life/family/parenting/dont-want-to-raise-a-narcissist-stop-telling-your-children-theyre-special-31054501.html

I think this topic, “the danger of praising children”, is laden with misunderstandings, and if taken literally could cause more narcissism than prevent it.

I URGE you to listen to important radio show, as I believe this topic could have dramatic effects on our future generations if we don’t understand what it really necessary to help our children be the most “whole” that they can be.

After listening to this radio show - If you resonate with my view ...

Turning Up The Gospel With Nyoki and Joshua Israel The Praising 1

    in Religion

Joshua Israel, also known as The Praising 1, was born in St. Louis Missouri in 1978. In 1981, his family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he currently resides with his wife of 17 years and their seven children.  At age 11, he was pronounced dead after being electrocuted as the result of climbing a neighborhood tree and engaging a live power line. While lying in his mother’s arms he received life again by the grace of God. Music has always been his passion and tool to reach the people.  The Praising 1 is now on a mission to reach anyone, and everyone that gives a listening ear.

Niyoki (pronounced Nie-yo-kee), an African name meaning “serious minded and responsible,” was given to her by her mother, a retired foreign language teacher in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  At age five, Niyoki began performing with her parents and siblings in the White Family and remained with the group through high school. They recorded five albums, and toured the Midwest and Southeast on weekends and during the summer, opening for such established artists as Shirley Caesar, The Williams Brothers, The Highway QC’s, The Canton Spirituals, and The Truthettes.

How far is to far when praising your signifacant other

    in Music

Some of you have decided not to kiss until marriage. Others think kissing is okay. Some of you have said you will only hold hands. Others choose a different line. Some of you have realized you’ve gone too far physically only after the damage has been done. That’s why I think it’s wise to know how far you’re willing to go long before you ever have the opportunity to act. But … how far is too far?

Consider these principles checkpoints on the path to purity. If the level of your physical activity in your dating relationship allows you to stick to these principles, you have strong boundaries in place. If the level of physical contact in your relationship violates even one of these principles, you’ve probably gone too far.
