Welcome to Women Making Sense of Sex (and everything else) at 60! In this episode, join my co-host Iris Bieri and in a lively conversation about the changes that we women face after menopause and as we enter into our 60's. What makes this time unique for us?

Our bodies are changing radically and we are no longer oriented towards having children and being in relationship. We are also facing the loss of our roles as mothers, sexual partners (for some of us) wives, and for some of us we are facing retirement and or the loss of our careers. We are entering into a time when many things that we have hooked our identity on to are changing and we are faced with "now what?" and "who am I?".

Many of us feel alone in this and isolated. That is why we're talking about this! So, join us and other women in this candid open conversation about what goes on beneath the surface and feel connected to the rhythme of your natural blueprint. Nothing is wrong with you! It is just time to step fully into your changes and embrace your authenticity.

This show is also great for you younger women  wondering what you have to look forward to as you move through into maturity!

    Music's Powerful Influence

    in Christianity

Let's face it music in and of itself is a powerful influence in todays culture as well as the Church. Its just another way for Satan to get to us. And these influences can fit into the categories of pure or impure, for good or bad. There is an influence in the words of the music we listen to today, and we must be sober and vigilent as to what we allow in our minds. There is a number of secular songs, literature and balads that convey many negative and degrading meanings that are filled with sexual talk, degrading women/men, and encourages you to go with your feelings no matter what. The christian music industry also must be extremely careful as to the messages and beats it creates> Thankfully though we have God's holy word to help us know and discern what should go between our ears. Romans 12:2 says" Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." It seems to imply that we must seek a transformation of mind and heart each day and rid ourselves of the temptation to "go with the flow" even with what we choose to listen or relax to. How can we have a stronger desire God and his word in this culture today? What can we do to be more proactive in understanding the influence of music so it does not pollute who we are in Christ? How can we speak in love to other believers about this subject?

Pushing through the Pain, Restoration and Healing: 2 Powerful Women of God.

    in Spirituality

Dr. Alice M. Millsap, owner of ASAP Counseling Services, Missouri City, Texas, obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling from College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Alice is a licensed and ordained minister and an active Member of Word of Restoration International Church, Dr. Charles E. Perry, Jr., and Lady Charlette Perry are her Spiritual Leaders. Alice has been married for 36 years to her loving and supportive husband, Charles Millsap. S

Dr. Alice M. Millsap shares bits and pieces of her life in this candid book as she embraces her journey to healing and restoration after living and being exposed to severe hardship in a dysfunctional family. After being disinherited by her father, what she thought was a journal to help her through the process, became “Disinherited! Daddy, How Could You?” So many daughters are living with baggage of rejection and carrying that baggage into other relationships.

Vanessa A. Fleeton is a woman of purpose, first-time author, motivational speaker, radio personality and entrepreneur. As President of VAF Inspires, Vanessa motivates women of all ages and cultures to push through the obstacles of life and pursue their God-given purpose.
Her purpose manifested from the pain she experienced in early childhood. Born to a teenage mother and absentee father, she struggled with where she belonged. As a result of her being freed by God from her tumultuous childhood and young adult lifestyle, she now has a heart to serve those with low self-esteem, abandonment issues and the shame of past mistakes.
