  • Episode 49 Real Boot Camp Workouts Vs. Goofy Gym Class

    in Fitness

In this episode, we go over the difference between what a personal trainer should be doing and what most personal trainers are actually doing in boot camps.

Are You Running a Serious Fitness Boot Camp… Or a Silly Gym Class?

There’s a big problem bubbling up in the fitness boot camp world. If this problem isn’t nipped in the bud, our industry is going to get a bad reputation and have a hard time recovering. And if you’re contributing to this problem, your business is soon going to collapse like a house of cards.

So what’s the problem? Just this: boot camp instructors seem to be running elementary school gym classes rather than fitness boot camps.

You probably know exactly what I’m talking about. Every one of these boot camps is really just a big game. Sure, there are some exercises thrown in, but it’s all pretty random. There’s no programming based on the client goals. It looks like a whole lot of fun… but clients are getting little result if any.

That’s like going on a road trip without a map, without GPS, or without any clue about which direction to travel. You’ll end up sitting in the car for hours, but you won’t actually get to your destination anytime soon. See what I’m saying? If you’re running your boot camps like gym classes, your clients are investing a lot of hours, but they’re not getting to their destination.  And that’s a huge disservice to

clients who have specific weight loss or fitness goals.

Give Hunger The Boot Dave Emanuel Talks

    in News

SNELLVILLE – During the past three years, Give Hunger the Boot has helped raise more than $10,000 in food and financial donations for the Southeast Gwinnett Food Co-Operative.

Created by Snellville Council Member Dave Emanuel and his wife Kathy, Give Hunger the Boot, which serves the area’s needy, has worked primarily through promotions involving Snellville area businesses.

That’s about to change - in a big way.

Grayson Mayor Allison Wilkerson and the Grayson City Council and staff have challenged the City of Snellville to a donation-raising contest.

“I was thinking about ways to raise canned and dried food donations for the Co-Op and I thought, ‘Why not a good old-fashioned challenge?’” Wilkerson said. “Snellville has the Give Hunger the Boot program and that’s perfect, so let’s see which city can give hunger the biggest boot.”

Snellville Council Member Emanuel welcomed the challenge.

“Mayor Wilkerson has come up with a great idea that’s a win for everybody,” he said. “The Co-Op will receive a huge increase in donations at a time when they’re needed most and win or lose, both Snellville and Grayson will have helped a great local cause.

The Co-Op does an outstanding job helping families in the Snellville, Grayson and Loganville area Give Hunger the Boot.”

Lord, Guide Us in the Purpose you have for Our lives

    in Prayer

5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

10 So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Hurricane Katrina Survivor Thankful For God's Grace & Mercy Deborah Walker

    in Christianity

Inspiration Empowerment & BREAKTHROUGH!/ w/ Dr. Beverly L. Swanson                                               A LIVE Radio Talk Show of Real People Sharing Real Stories of Great Trials & Great Faith

JOIN ME and my Featured Guest Minister Deborah Walker Minister of Prayer at Oasis Church in Rancho Cordova Califonia.  Minister Deborah is sharing her Thankfulness to God the Father for her and her children miracuously surving the Castophic attack of Hurricane Katrina August 29, 2005.

On August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans La at category 5. My daughters and I left 14 hours before storm came.

We drove to Hattiesburg Mississippi which was 2 hours away and it took us almost 8 hrs to arrive at our destination thinking we were not going to be affected as much. After Hurricane Katrina struck Hattiesburg Miss. We could not leave the house because big trees were in the middle of street and some landed on houses. We were stuck in that city for four days. There was no electricity, no running water, and we could not use our cell phones, and the temperature was extremely hot. It was by grace of God how we made it out. I'm greatful that we survived. Through the power of prayer and God's faithfulness the storm could not touch my prayer partner's  home.  SEE YOU on The AIR!
