George Frierson,a local Historian, and Community Activist, in Alcolu SC, is on a mission to clear George Stinney, a 14 year old African American's, name. In 1944, George Stinney was accused of murdering two Caucasian girls, ages 11 and 7. Because there were no Miranda Rights in 1944, George Stinney was questioned without a lawyer and his parents were not allowed into the room. Mr. George Frierson, is seeking to reopen the case and to bring closure to George Stinney's family.
