Each year the television networks introduce us to an array of new programming. Some of these shows go on to become long lasting franchises, some become cult fan favorites, and others fall to the wayside forgotten. Resident Geekerati TV expert Shawna Benson offers insight to this year's crop of pilots and crashes.
VOW Talk Radio Founder, Patti Katter will be speaking with - Bill "Moon" Mullen who sits on the VHPA executive council. We will hear from Vietnam Helicopter Pilots who flew missions during Vietnam. Pilots N Paws. Doesn't that just have an awesome ring to it?
It gets even better. Pilots N Paws is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects volunteer pilots with shelter animals needing transport to forever homes across the country. While Pilots N Paws doesn't organize or arrange these transports, it does provide a common forum online for those involved to schedule and arrange flights, overnight foster care or shelter, and other related activites. The organization is officially based in Landrum, South Carolina, but has volunteers nationwide.
ABOUT KATHLEEN QUINN Kathleen Quinn is executive director for Pilots N Paws. She has been volunteering with the organization since its launch in February 2008. In her new staff role, she will design, develop and implement strategic plans to grow Pilots N Paws, which includes a focus on fundraising and social media.
A 2008 graduate of Miami University, Kathleen earned degrees in business, entrepreneurship, and American studies. She graduated from Georgetown University with a master's degree in journalism. While in D.C., Kathleen also served as a congressional intern.
As a child, Kathleen had aspirations of one day becoming a veterinarian. "Although we lived in the suburbs, growing up, our house resembled a mini petting zoo. Amongst the critters were gerbils, dogs, a cat, box turtles, a salamander, a hermit crab, even chicks we hatched from an incubator. Across the street from was the Metropark animal nature center, so I was always rescuing wounded wildlife and takem them across the street to be rehabilitated."
The world of on demand entertainment is here. Between Kickstarter projects where consumers are empowered to fund the projects they would like to see produced to new shows being produced for streaming services, it is a brave new world of entertainment.
This week, Shawna and Christian will discuss the new Amazon television shows. Are they worth your time?
There were a bunch of TV pilots that were given the okay recently by networks including - The Returned, Sleepy Hollow, Seth MacFarlane's Dads, and something called Delirum about a world where love is banned and removable with a 'special' procedure. And surprisingly, Don't Trust the B in 23 is pulled. Also, I give a review of THE LAST STAND with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnie is getting old, but he can still deliver those corny lines. Still, the movie needed help

I never thought I would be saying this, but after doing a private investigation in various airports in different cities, I have come to discover that American Airlines Pilots and Stewardness are very SPOILED and RUDE behind closed doors. A SHAME but TRUE! Listen to find out more!

"The evidence that there are objects which have been seen in our atmosphere, and even on terra firma, that cannot be accounted for either as man-made objects or as any physical force or effect known to our scientists, seems to me to be overwhelming... A very large number of sightings have been vouched for by persons whose credentials seem to me unimpeachable. It is striking that so many have been trained observers, such as police officers and airline or military pilots. Their observations have in many instances... been supported either by technical means such as radar or, even more convincingly, by... interference with electrical apparatus of one sort or another....
