MGN Radio welcomes Susan Petersen, CEO & Founder of Freshly Picked Baby Mocassins to our show tomorrow at noon EST. Susan Petersen started making baby moccasins in 2009 after becoming frustrated by the lack of well-designed baby shoes. Hey welcome to another edition of the "Jay Byrd Show!" I'm sooo sick of this over politcally correct world and I plan on letting some steam out on today's show! They did Stephen A. Smith wrong after he did an excellent job articulating his thoughts and they still picked through his words and made him out to be some sort of advocate for abusing women! I'll talk about this and much more on the all new "Jay Byrd Show!"

As we get ready to say goodbye to the lazy days of summer, it's time to turn our attention to the new school year. According to a new back-to-school survey by Accenture, a majority of parents plan to spend more on their children's back-to-school shopping this year, driven by rising costs or necessity rather than greater spending power.
The survey finds that 67% of parents plan to spend between $100 and $500 and 41 percent plan to spend $500 or more for back-to-school shopping this year. One-third of parents spending more plan to increase their spending by $250 or more. Among the reasons given for the spending increase, 71 percent cited higher prices and 56 percent cited increased school requirements. Startling, nearly one in five parents said they will spend more in order to help their children "keep up with their friends."
It's not hard to blow your family budget when it comes to fulfilling the needs (and wants) of our children – particularly when retailers have eye-catching aisles of back-to-school supplies just waiting to picked up by anxious students. On today’s episode of Your Money, Your Matters, we will discuss the importance of planning and budgeting for back-to-school. We’ll offer tips on how to cut costs, and stay on budget.
Your Money. Your Matters is a weekly show broadcasting every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon Central Time. The program features radio personalities Linda Webb-Mañon and Rick Grady, Cornerstone Credit Union League; Courtney Moran, Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation, and Todd Mark, Consumer Credit Counseling Services.
It's been a big year for Ohio Machine midfielder Kyle Harrison. The veteran joins Lacrosse Lounge host Phil Shore (Lacrosse Magazine, New England Lacrosse Journal) and talks about what it's like to be a professional lacrosse player.
Harrison rejoined the MLL after not playing in the league since 2009. Harrison was one of the founders of the LXM Pro Tour, and up until 2014 players could not play in both LXM and MLL. Since the merger between the two entities, Harrison was picked up by the Ohio Machine and has been the veteran presence on a young, but exciting, team this season. Five Machine players, including Harrison, are in the Top 20 in the league in scoring. Ohio is having the best season in franchise history, and in Week 12 defeated the Denver Outlaws 23-22 in overtime. Harrison scored the game-winning goal.
Harrison also played for Team USA in the FIL World Championship tournament.
What did it mean for Harrison to don the red, white and blue? What is behind the turnaround in Ohio? What is the future for LXM?

The battle between Israel and the Arab World, is a one sided battle by the Arab World to destroy Israel. Which means that the so called "Middle East Conflict" is not a conflictt at all, but an endless pursuit to destroy the state of Israel and kill as many Jews as possible. If this sounds familiar, it is only becasue it is exactly what HItler began, and pricesly what was picked up by the PLO the Palestenian Liberation Organization.
If you have heard all those horrible stories on how the Palestenians were the victims that were removed, or how their possessions were stolen, you have heard the lies that were spread by the PLO in order to recruit for their murdering army of killers, out to kill Jews.
Listen to the facts. Learn what really happen the day Israel was born to survive and thrive, and the PLO was created to destroy it.

Daisy Mallory is a song lover, an only child, and originally from Cave Creek, Arizona. Music has been her passion for as long as she can remember. Writing is in her blood and singing is in her bones. When she picked up the guitar at age 9, her love for music and writing collided. After 4 months of learning cover songs, she began to write my own.
She's done some cool things in her time! From singing with Reba and Kris Kristofferson to Muhammad Ali himself to opening for Brad Paisley, Lee Ann Womack, and Lee Brice. She's taken part in photo and video shoots with artists such as The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Josh Turner, Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser, and Billy Currington. She was endorsed by McPherson Guitars in July of 2011. She's truly living and breathing music and couldn’t be more thankful to be doing what I love each day!
Be on the lookout for the brand new EP, "This Side of Town" available on iTunes.
Ever wonder why we see the same dogs in rescue over and over? Why does a dog get adopted and returned? Our theory is that the system is designed to fail. Dogs are being picked up as strays and adopted out without any form of rehabilitative training. When they develop "issues" after adoption they are returned to the shelter or strayed again. Then they are once again adopted out (still without benefit of any rehab training) and returned. Some dogs end up being euthanized as "unadoptable" after being returned too many times.
Why are dogs being deemed "unadoptable" when no one has tried to fix their "issues"?
What are the holes in the rescue system, and how would proper rehabilitative training help to plug them?
How and why is the system failing these animals?
On today's show we will be talking with behavioral trainer Chris White owner of K9 Revolution and founder of Biker's Against BSL about these questions, and how proper training keeps dogs in homes.
The phone lines will be open so feel free to call us with your opinion (646)716-6583 or just listen live. All shows are archived so if you can't catch the show live you can listen to it later at your convenience.
