She works with Photoshop or at least one other Adobe photo editing product almost every day and is an
It's no secret that the makers of magazines and advertisements bust out their best photoshop skills in order make their models look eerily...perfect. But what are all these unrealistic images of beauty doing to our nation's self-esteem? Katie Hedrick, founder of the Beauty is Sizeless Campaign, is on a mission to bring our perception of beauty back down to reality. Join us on Thursday, July 26 at 3:30 pm EST when our host Abby Ellin chats with Katie about that elusive '
Workshop Wednesdays with Tony Gambone & Linda Ballesteros with guest Deborah Anderson
Evolving the site into a comfortable place where tips and information may be consumed at your leisure, in the same way as a virtual cafe, sipping your favorite morning cup of brew. Why? Because the web should be fun!
Deborah is multi-faceted. She is no stranger to the stage or camera, as a successful Los Angeles Jazz singer (aka Deborah E or “Lady D”), reaching her success in the online arena. She is also a technology guru, having served as Director of the IT Department for two high-profile Los Angeles investment firms, utilizing her management experience and soon-to-be-completed BSIT Software Architecture degree in re-building the technology infrastructure from the ground up.
She loves people and this has contributed to her success as a musician, writer, and social media nut. She has been writing for most of her life, having reached success with her “Webmaster Tips Weekly” in the pre-Web 2.0 days, as well as writing web design curriculum and teaching Adobe Photoshop to talented fine artists. Incidentally, this love for graphics, words, video, and *People* helped to start her 5 Hugs A Day campaign with the simple objective of encouraging people everywhere.
Her recent endeavor is to apply her love of writing and humanity to encouraging people to reach their potential online, one step at a time. Her blog, SocialWebCafe.com is a reflection of who she is and her view on social media: “because the web should be fun!”
Tonight on a bigger, longer and uncut edition of the Never Daunted Radio Network, we settle into our new timeslot with a quartet of tales designed to challenge the mind if not one's patience with stupidity.First, in the wake of the latest Miss USA pageant, we'll take a look at some of the "brighter" answers from some of the contestants, including that of Miss Utah, whose answer to a question became an instant classic.Next, no one does vengeance better than the holy, as a lesbian is not only expelled from a conservative Christian university, but upon doing so is also hit with a bill for $6,000 to reimburse what the school said were federal loans and grants that needed to be repaid because she didn’t finish the semester.Later, when a a picture makes the rounds with Jesus Christ in a dog's butthole, we wonder if it's divine intervention or a holy photoshop job. In either case, once Jesus starts appearing in the butthole of a dog, it might be time to put the bible down. And finally, we close with a story that is absolutely NUTS, as a poet in Colombia wants to go to Europe so much that he's willing to fund the trip in a very ballsy way: selling his testicles. All this and a Kickstarter update, tonight, on an hour-long edition of the Never Daunted Radio Network!

Building Your Network is always about people you need to know, but it's time to raise the bar and start talking about concepts and technology that's available for photographers today.
Everything is changing...again...almost as much as they did from black and white to color...then from film to digital and now from digital to mirrorless technology and hybrid e-products.
In the process. there are some serious pioneers you need to know. We're going to use Building Your Network to help you stay in touch with people you need to hear about so as the train leaves the station you're on it instead of chasing after it!
Today's guest is Suzette Allen. She's an outstanding photographer and one of the industry's leading experts on Photoshop, but here's a side of her most of you haven't met. She's fast becoming one of the leading experts on utilizing mirrorless technology and Hybrid e-products to create an entire line of incredible products for her clients.
She's been working with Panasonic's LUMIX GH3 and it's changing her life and her business!
This is all part of a trifecta on the SCU site. Listen to her podcast then listen to what she has to say in the Video Training Center in her video, "Why mirrorless?" and then scroll down and watch "Jenny's Hope Story".
Now ask yourself if you have the skill set to bring this level of technology to your clients!
Oregon Update --The Sequester dead line is here. what does that mean and how does it effect you and I? Plus.... hearing about coverups in Washington is not something that unfortunately is too uncommon however this time the latest coverup involves Michelle Obama's Oscar dress when the Iranian newspapers [poorly] Photoshop the first ladies dressed during the Oscars because it was "too revealing." why is that a big deal? Williams Stillings called into the program talking about the s
