    Living with Epilepsy on a day to day basis can best be explained by one type of person. Someone diagnosed with it, who is now a patient advocate, a public speaker and is very open about his challenges and successes.

    I am forty- year old man who who enjoys life and engaging with people!

    As a person with epilepsy and trained Toastmaster, I am offering myself to speak about this mysterious disorder from a personal perspective.

    I am trained by the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA as a Patient Advocate. This training and my personal experience qualify me to speak about epilepsy with authority. I believe epilepsy should be brought out of the shadows of the past and into the light of the present.

    What will Toastmasters give you the courage to do?

    Dan Dougherty, ACG ALB, was awarded the Charlie & Peggy Roach Founders Award for his years of epilepsy advocacy at the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA 8th's annual Mardi Gras Gala!

    “My toastmasters skills came in handy to command the audience in my acceptance speech!” said Dan. For most of his 42 years, Dan has been living with epilepsy. Dan joined Toastmasters in 2008 and is currently a member of Professionally Speaking Toastmasters Club. He gained his Advanced Communication Gold award last May after successfully run a workshop on team leadership. 

    Dan walked into the room without hesitation. As he began to talk, he started to feel the energy that comes when he stands in front of an audience. It's an energy, he says, that gives him the courage to face his fears

    Today on the show we are recapping week 9 in the NFL. We will take a look back at all the games starting with Thursday night going into all of Sunday's games including Monday night. We will also get you updated with the latest injuries and including news. The NFL announces Broncos CB Aqib Talib is suspended 1 game for poking Colts TE Dwayne Allen in the eye on Sunday. Patriots Dion Lewis has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of 2015. He was 3rd on the team with 36 receptions. Rams and former Broncos WR Wes Welker now have reached agreement on one-year deal. Andrew Luck will miss 2-5 weeks with a lacerated kidney. His backup Matt Hasselbeck is 2-0 as a starter this year.


    At 7:30 pm PT, 10:30 pm ET we will be joined with our good friend Pete Jensen from NHL.com to talk some Fantasy Hockey and the current leading divisions teams as well. We will then give out our week 10 NFL picks.

    Pete and Barbara Elmore-Authors/UFO Investigators/CERO Board of Advisors

    Pete Elmore was born in Kinston, North Carolina in 1962. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1985 with a degree in Political Science. Pete made ends meet in college by writing for the school newspaper, the Technician. He has written several screenplays and three books which include “The Flaming Dragon,” 11 Easy Ways to determine if you live in a Haunted House” and “Reflections of an Alien Abduction Investigator.” Pete is a former MUFON State Section Director for Los Angeles and has investigated over 450 UFO and Alien Abduction reports. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Close Encounters Research Organization.
    Barbara Elmore was born Barbara Cotton in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 1964. She attended North Carolina State University where she majored in English. Barbara has always been interested in the paranormal and has had many experiences of her own. She co-authored “The Flaming Dragon” which is being developed as a TV series at Fleur de Lis studios. Barbara is currently writing a book about her childhood titled “Tomboy Tales.” She also serves on the Board of Advisors for CERO.
    Pete and Barbara met at N.C. State University in 1982 and it was if they had known each other all of their lives. They became best friends quickly and were married in 1986. They have three children, Ryan, Jason and Sean. They live in Santa Clarita, California.

    San Francisco-based singer / songwriter Pete Kronowitt has released a video performance for his new politically charged song, "Change is Gonna Come," recorded live from the Cafe du Soleil in Lower Haight. The hopeful anthem was inspired both by the legends of American folk, as well as today's struggle for justice and equity. Pete co-wrote the song with Atlanta-based Chuck McDowell at a recent songwriting retreat in Crisfield, Maryland.
