Morning of April 4, 2014 Durham Police Officer J. Sandoval contacted Winston Salem Police Department with information of a warrant for the parents. Winston Salem Police department did go to the Wilmington address with forced entry, the residence was then thoroughly searched, the child was not there. Why did the officers then gain interest of the whereabouts of the child? The child at that time became assumed "missing" by the police not the parents. Why was the child then assumed missing? What gave to proof to show that the child was "missing"? The parents also received a charge of abduction..can you abduct your 1 year old child if you already have lawful custody? A warrant issued by Magistrate Christine Wright was finally served though the steel bars of Winston Salem County Jail to the parents much later that night after the arrest. A family member, heard of the wide spread news and did fearfully handover the child to Durham Police Department. The child was diagnosed as perfectly healthy at the time Durham Police assumed custody that night. **If the child was examined and proved to be without signs of abuse by North Carolina State Officials hours after arrest of parents, then also the child should have also been healthy at the time the "initial" claim was made...no? Miraculous recovery perhaps? A Superior of Sandoval told sources an agent of DSS reported the parents to the police via 911 but didn't say name of agent. A massive amount of supporters showed up in court for the family Monday and Tuesday. Did Sandoval trick W. S. Police into this arrest? Did police go too far to report this child missing? Why was the warrant served many hours after the arrest?

Montreal, QC – Whether it’s drugs, alcohol, gambling or sex, all addictions begin as solutions. They’re stress-reducers. In order for a successful recovery process to take root, the fundamental emotional need served by this behavior must first be addressed.
“Recovery is a process, not an event,” says Richard Hofman, director of Chatsworth Pavilion. “You have to replace their addiction with a way of living that allows them to better manage their stress without turning to self-medication.”
Chatsworth Pavilion is an addiction rehabilitation center known for its unique three-week residential recovery program, which maximizes treatment by making the group a central component of treatment.
According to Hofman, the most important component to any therapeutic modality is therapeutic alliance: the trust and bond between peers and patients and the therapeutic team. Over 21 days, residents develop trust. They realize their secrets and shames aren’t so unique. The other members of the group are listening and empathizing. They see a similarity in their experiences.
“There’s an emotional component that needs to be addressed – what we call emotional surgery – and we’ve found that’s best done in a residential setting,” says Hofman.
Chatsworth supplements its residential program with a robust outpatient aftercare program designed to dramatically improve their chances for continued recovery. Hoffman says it’s critical for Chatsworth residents continue with therapy. When accountability is set up properly, it increases their chances of success.
“We give them an environment where it’s safe to explore their feelings with the tools to undertake their own healing process,” says Hofman. “Recovery isn’t about quitting your addiction; it’s about falling in love with being well.”
Sedalia, CO – More than any other animal, horses share a deep connection with our humanity. Research has found the experiences people share with horses can be a true catalyst for change and healing.
Terri Mongait is a certified Equine Gestalt Coach and the founder of Begin Again Ranch (www.beginagainranch.com ) where she partners with her horses to help clients identify, accept and overcome their obstacles on the road to recovery.
“I came up with the name because I truly feel no matter what you’re going through or what you’ve been through you can close your eyes, take a deep breath and begin again,” says Mongait.
With Equine Gestalt, horses can be an active partner in the coaching and healing process. According to Mongait, because horses are naturally prey animals, their only means of survival is fight or flight; herd dynamics demand that they know what’s going on with every horse around them. This unique intuition also translates to people. If we are being inauthentic or incongruent they will know and they will let you know.
“When you’re working with a 1,200 lbs. animal, you learn pretty quickly,” says Mongait. “You know what you need to do. We’re just going to help you get there faster.”
Begin Again Ranch specializes in clients who are either in transition or navigating through a recovery. As a Gestalt coach, Mongait says she’s not attached to any outcome or agenda. Depending on the interaction between the horse and the client, Mongait’s training allows her to understand the client’s obstacles and how they can overcome them.
“Every session and every client is different,” says Mongait, “which is the real fun part of my job: I never know what’s going to happen.”
