    Episode 241: Personnel Policy & Leadership, with VADM Bill Moran, USN

    in Military

    How does policy shape, limit, or empower the effectiveness of command at the unit level? Which policies are a net positive, and which ones are counter productive? Are there things we can do to better balance larger Navy goals with the requirement to give leaders the room they need to be effective leaders?

    In times of austere budgets, can you both reduce end-strength while at the same time retain your best personnel? Are we a learning institution that can adjust policy that answers the bell from DC in shaping tomorrow's Fleet, yet does not break trust with Shipmates?

    To discuss this and more we will have as our returning guest, Vice Admiral Bill Moran, USN. Chief of Naval Personnel. A P-3 pilot by trade, he held commanded at the squadron, wing and group levels. As Chief of Naval Personnel, he oversees the recruiting, personnel management, training, and development of Navy personnel. Since taking over a year ago he has focused on improving communication between Navy leadership and Sailors in the Fleet.

    in Current Events

    Tonight, Northerntruthseeker and I will be discussing Paul Craig Robert's recent article, Helterskelter to World War Three, posted on Darkmoon's site.

    Although, Robert's never uses the j-word to describe the enemy every organization, institution, governement personnel, state and local; plus education, entertainment, media, banking and finance and just about everything that touches every human life on this planet is owned and operated by the enemy in some form or fashion.

    So, it's rather obvious "who" he is attempting to name as the number one threat to first and foremost, white christian patriots, that believe in freedom and liberty.

    Read the article then tune in to our show for some interesting and fascinating conversation for we only reveal proven truth that can be validated and verified.

    Stay tuned,

    The Most Unrecognizable and Committed Sin is not what you think

    in Religion

    What is the most unrecognizable and committed sin in the universe?  Read this article and see if you can figure it out.

    Pasadena, CA- The mother of a former cashier at Target in Pasadena is suing the retailer, alleging that her son committed suicide after being humiliated by management.  In the lawsuit, Virginia Gentles claims her son, 22-year-old Graham Gentles, was driven to suicide after he was accused of stealing, handcuffed and "paraded" through the store in front of coworkers and customers.  Graham Gentles jumped to his death from the roof of the Courtyard Marriott in Monrovia on July 18, three days after he was allegedly required by Target management to take part in what the lawsuit calls a "walk of shame."  The lawsuit alleges false imprisonment, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.  According to the complaint, Graham Gentles was met by police and Target security personnel at the front of the store as he arrived for work on July 15. The suit alleges that police forcefully grabbed him, emptied his pockets and pulled his hat off. At the direction of two members of the store management, he was handcuffed and led to an office, according to the suit.  "Gentles was shocked, confused and mortified at being handcuffed and walked through the Target store in front of co-workers and store customers. Mr. Gentles had no idea why he was being arrested," the complaint says.

    Disrespect during the Star Spangled Banner

    in Current Events

    This was a requested show topic from my cousin who saw this at her son's graduation from bootcamp. She was not happy and I could only imagine what she saw. I can remember a time when hats were off, there was NO talking or moving during the Star Spangled Banner but now hats are on because God forbid you have to take off your snap back, people talk on cellphones, smoke, chew gum and do anything else they want. This is our National Anthem! People even disrespect the flag. Most of us grew up singing the Star Spangled Banner so we know what to do and we are to train up the younger generation but when we as the adults don't set the example then there is a problem. Military personnel please be an example and not a bad one. You were trained better than that!

    HBCU Tuesdays! Discussion On ALA State Football & Coach Brian Jenkins Allegation

    in Sports

    Brian Jenkins turned the Bethune-Cookman University football program into a winner, but off the field former players and coaches say the program was rife with rules violations and teetering on the edge of dysfunction because of the animosity between them and Jenkins, who is the new head coach at Alabama State University.

    With one exception, they independently provided nearly identical details of rules violations and what they felt was Jenkins' mistreatment of players.

    Allegations against Jenkins and his program include:

    — Improper benefits provided to players;

    — Improper housing arrangements;

    — Continued and extensive violations of the NCAA weekly practice time limits;

    — Failure to pay three assistant coaches that resulted in a federal lawsuit;

    — And, bullying of staff and players with retaliation against those who spoke up.

    Prior to Jenkins' departure in December from Bethune-Cookman, officials there had conducted an investigation into a number of allegations, and assistant athletic director Tony O'Neal, who wouldn't answer questions about the investigation, said, "Anything that needed to be reported (to the conference and NCAA) was reported."

    "I talked with Coach Jenkins about those issues, and he was very up front with me about everything," Hines said. "My view on that is that it's all personnel matters from his previous workplace and this is a fresh start. (The trustees and I) have discussed those issues, and I made them aware of potentially what could be out there."
