Decide on an Attitude of Success!

    in Motivation

Decide on an attitude of success!  When I refer to attitude, I'm not simply implying "change your attitude" as if it were either good or bad.  Too often, our attitude reflects the world around us and unfortunately, the world is pretty negative.  Work environments are negative, homes are negative, schools at all levels are negative...we live and exist in an incredibly pessimistic, the 'sky is falling', things are going to get worse before they get better world.  I'm suggesting that you and I decide we are going to take this world on each day and not anyone fuck with what we're going after in life.  That we decide on an attitude that no one can penetrate.  Join me!

    Thanksgivings 2014

    in Politics

    October 3, 1863
By  Abraham Lincoln President of the United States of America.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.  It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving

Mama Didnt Half Step - Heather Stephens

    in Motivation

Heather DeBerry Stephens is a wife, mother, author, administrator, and fisher of men. She is the wife of Dale Stephens. In their 15-year marriage, they have been blessed with 2 sons and 2 daughters, ages 13, 11, 8, and 3. Heather is a 1995 graduate of Lane College and she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is currently an employee of Shelby County School as the General Office Secretary for Shelby Oaks Elementary.

In Heather's childhood, she was displaced from her birth mother at the tender age of 1. The separation from her biological mother grew in Heather a burning desire to someday become the mother that she always wished she had. After publishing the book, "Mama Didn't Half-step," Heather founded the "Don't Half-step Movement," to encourage mothers to embrace their God-given gift of motherhood. Her passion to encourage mothers has become a personal life assignment through seminars, workshops, and by her own everyday example. Her witty catch-phrase, "Just don't half-step," is a message that she hopes will penetrate in the hearts of mothers all over the world.

Guest, JJ Semple, Life Force Books!!!

    in Spirituality

"JJ Semple didn't start out to explore Kundalini; he stumbled into it years ago, when a stranger handed him a book called, The Secret of the Golden Flower. At first, he didn't understand the book. Although it concerned a Kundalini Meditation method,  the text was difficult to penetrate. He wondered if such an ancient text might apply to the modern world. Did the method really work? Was there more to it than poetry and symbolism?

Only after practicing the method did he find the answer. Along the way there were lots of twists and turns, false starts and missteps. Nevertheless, he persisted, working his way through the method one technique at a time, finally discovering it was a method for awakening Kundalini. Condensing The Secret of the Golden Flower into a viable modern method of meditation took time, over thirty years, in fact. His discoveries are described in JJ Semple's books, Deciphering the Golden Flower One Secret at a Time and The Backward-Flowing Method: The Secret Of Life and Death."

How Dark is Dark? -- Write Stuff -- 10/28/2014

    in Radio

I mentioned this before but the Write Stuff is an avenue for the low totem pole authors of the Christian fiction genre -- speculative fiction. The kind of Christian fiction where author use werewolves, vampires, fairies, time travel, multiple universes, string theory, and other 'taboo' items among mainstream Christianity to bring about either a gospel message or theme or to tell a good story.

Speculative fiction asks the ‘what if’ questions, the kind that teases our minds with all sort of probabilities and perhaps more questions. Sometimes, the themes discussed this sort of fiction travels down a dark road...a tunnel even.

On today's show, we are going to talk author Mark Carver as he discusses his series about a world so dark, it seems impossible to even have a pinprick of light in it. The topic is sensitive enough that some Christians may be abhorred by it but I would ask the question -- is there anything so dark that God's light cannot penetrate it?

Breaking Prophecy News; The Millennial Kingdom: A Time of Faith (TPDR #456)

    in Religion

PROPHECY HEADLINES: US launches airstrikes against Islamic militants in Iraq | Gaza ceasefire ends; Hamas, Israel resume attacks | Russian bombers penetrate US airspace | ISIS begins taking territory in Lebanon | Earthquake shakes Hawaii

The Bible says in Mark 8:38: “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: "The Millennial Kingdom: A Time of Faith" from Dr. Tim LaHaye

The millennial kingdom will be a time of faith, when the majority of the population will become believers. We see that in several Bible passages. Christ will be in charge, so there won't be immoral or other forms of destructive TV programming available to blind men's minds to the gospel. Body-damaging substances will not be available, so people will not have their minds so fogged that they cannot fairly appraise the truths of Scripture. Satan will be bound so he should "deceive the nations no more." The university chairs of learning will not be dominated by atheists set on turning the minds of young people away from God. Instead, all education will start from the premise, "In the beginning GOD!" In such an academic climate, young people will be more open than ever to the claims of God and Christ on their lives. Even art forms will glorify Christ during the millennial kingdom. Jeremiah 31:31-34 indicates that everyone will be so acquainted with the gospel that no one will need to share it with his neighbor.
