It's another eclectic edition of The Down and Dirty with Frank Fontana today!
Our first guest is comedian Michael Palascak, who's made a name for himself by connecting to the youthful innocence in everyone with his great storytelling techniques. He'll be stopping by our studio to talk about his gigs at Zanies and more!
In our Craftsmanship segment, we're calling up Main Street Pedicabs founder Steve Meyer. Steve makes custom pedicabs for small entrepreneurs all over the country, and provides an environmentally friendly solution to the challenges of modern transportation with a zero-emissions footprint.
We'll also be getting a live in-studio Lollapalooza report with Consequence of Sound president and editor-in-chief Michael Roffman, and we've got a pretty great DIY Disaster story lined up too. Don't miss it!
Let's get Down and Dirty...
On the September 18th, 2013 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:
The Baracknaphobes are at it again. This time they believe that your dermatologist is going to be required to ask you about your sexual history. Of course the author provides no proof so we are supposed to believe the crazies. The Baracknaphobes still refuse to give Obama credit for doing what they gave credit to Bush for. How far down the well do they have to fall? Is there a bottom?
A shooting took place in D.C. Is this proof that more gun control is needed? Has this country gone crazy for guns? Can we find a happy medium that protects gun rights while protecting innocent people from getting shot?
I will also talk about my recent trip to Tampa to see the Saints play. I have some very good highlights and some very bad examples of stupidity as well. Finally, I will rant a little bit about TV, pedicabs, bikes and some other random things. All that, tweet of the week, headlines, words of redneck wisdom and more, Wednesday on Liberal Dan Radio: Talk From The Left, That's Right. And if you want to talk about the show after it is over, please check out liberaldan.com.

There seems to always be enough news going on in our little city to have it's own radio show... we are happy to bring it to you tonight. We are following stories like Platt Tech getting it on, pedicabs, Milford gets money for upgrades, foreclosures in the area going up, and much more!
Tonight we will be joined by a Devon Rotarian giving us some details on an event coming up next weekend, all money raised come back into the Milford community.
We are considered a very small show, but we are proud to not only interview the interesting people of Milford, but we are able to speak to guests such as John Ratzenberger, Dan Patrick, Governor Malloy, Tommy John, and many more. We may be small, but we are badass!
Make sure you join us tonight, without you we look like 2 dudes talking to each other with headsets on!
Guest: Steve Meyer, Founder and CEO, Mainstreet Pedicab. Pedicabs are human-powered taxis seen in many of the major cities around the world. They work well for not only transporting people, but also for the delivery of food and merchandise.
In a world that is becoming overwhelmed with too many cars, pedicabs offer a green and sometimes romantic alternative. Steve Meyer didn't invent the pedicab, but he is in the process of perfecting the marketplace for it. Steve started out in real estate development, and his story about the insights he gained, and how he developed Mainstreet Pedicab is a great example of a sustainable business model.
