All Artist that paint, sketch, draw, photograph,etc are invited to the 1st Annual Neighborhood Gallery Tour. We will be taking the artwork of 50 artists on a 6 city tour to be exposed to 1000 businesses and organizations. The selected cities Buffalo NY, Rochester NY, Syracuse NY, Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, Columbia SC makeup the 2015 tour. Each of these host cities will have an Opening Exhibit Reception. The Tour will be approximately 6 months between June 15th to December 30, 2015. It is open to all Artists 18 years of age that produce 2D work. All artists that enter The Neighborhood Gallery Tour will receive an Artist Virtual Portfolio. Our jury of professionals has over 100 years of combined experience in the World of Art and will select the 50 artists to be the 2015 Neighborhood Gallery Tour Nominees. The Smack Mellon Gallery created the exhibition RESPOND after the grand jury's decision not to indict Daniel Pantaleo. The gallery is currently using the space to present events, performances and artworks that affirm that black lives matter, express frustration and anger with the institutional racism that enables law enforcement to kill black me ever of the community with impunity, and imagine creative solutions and visionary alternatives to a broken Justice system.

Durden & Ray is an artist collective comprised of 22 artist/curator members who work together to create exhibition opportunities at gallery spaces around the world. In May of 2015 they opened a permanent gallery space in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Durden & Ray model overlaps multiple strategies, including the democratic structure of an artists’ group, the potential to create collaborative works of art as a collective, and and the shared fiscal support of its programs by group members and partnering organizations.
Durden & Ray concentrate on small, tightly curated group shows, organized by the members, as well as the hosting of international artists and exhibiitons as part of their commitment to global exchange and alternative networks.

Listen in as host Michael Harris interview Artist Claudia Moody-Jones and her very unique Orgami Art. As a recently retired teacher, Claudia Moody-Jones feels one of her greatest accomplishments was teaching art to children. She received several grants to teach after school art classes. As a professional artist Claudia has received awards and recognition through contests and competitions. She has been featured in a few online magazine articles in the Cloth, Paper and Scissors publication. Her work has also appeared in their hard copies for winning some of their challenges. Claudia has participated in shows and exhibitions in New York and in Los Angeles, where she lives.
