UFC 193 will go down in history as the setting for one of the largest upsets in MMA history. Join Kevin, Ed, Vince, and Big Pete as we discuss the media fallout and the likelihood of a rematch. In the NFL, the great Peyton Manning was benched for possible heir apparent, Mr. Brock Osweiler. Along with the NFL, we promise to keep you up to speed on the NBA and breaking news in the world of sports.
New England looked human beating the New York Giants on a 54 yard field goal by Stephen Gostowski. The Giants almost pulled off the victory, kicking the go ahead field with 1:47 remaining. Tom Brady converted a fourth and ten during the last drive, finding Danny Amendola for a 12 yard gain. The win keeps the Patriots perfect season in place while holding a four game lead over the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.
The Houston Texans did enough to hand the Cincinnati Bengals their first loss. They held Andy Dalton to 197 passing yards, and kept the Bengals out of the end zone. T.J. Yates tossed a 22 yard touchdown to DeAndre Hopkins, on the fourth play of the fourth quarter that gave the Texans the go ahead score. The Texans win puts them in a tie with the Indianapolis Colts for first place, in the AFC South.
The Broncos have lost two in a row, and Peyton Manning. Manning sustained and injury in the loss to the Chiefs. Manning had five completions and four interceptions. Brock Osweiler will get the start against the Chicago Bears. Even with the loss the Broncos still hold a three game lead over the Chiefs.
The Minnesota Vikings have put together a five game winning streak. This winning streak coupled with a three game Packers losing streak, puts the Vikings in first place. At 7-2, the Vikings have quietly made enough plays to win football games. Adrian Peterson added another 200 yard rushing game to his Hall of Fame resume. His sixth 200-yard game ties him with O.J. Simposon for the most in NFL history. The Vikings intercepted Derek Carr twice, and shutout the Raiders in the second half en route to a 30-14 victory.
We recap some of the important games from Week nine, in the NFL. The Denver Broncos visited Indianapolis and Andrew Luck got the better of Petyon Manning. The Broncos sitll have a three game lead over the Oakland Raiders, in the AFC West. The suprising Raiders traveled to Heinz Field and tied the game late. Backup quarterback Landry Jones led the Steelers down the field to kick the game winning field goal after Ben Roethlisberger was injured. This is the second injury this season for Roethlisberger. After spraining his knee, he now has sprained his foot and his return is undetermined at this time. The Minnesota Vikings needed overtime to defeat the pesky St. Louis Rams. With 63% of NFL teams right now 4 – 5 or less, are we currently living through the NFL’s Golden Age of Mediocrity? That’s one of the big questions the guys from The Red Zone Blitz – Frat House Mike & Brandon will be knocking around. Mid-season means it’s time to crank-up the QB carousel – Peyton Manning out; Brock Osweiler in / Sam Bradford out; Mark Sanchez in / Nick Foles out; Case Keenum in / Josh McCown out; Johnny Manziel in. Does the Browns QB move mean that Mike Pettine is out as well and what of the Saints allowing Sean Payton to shop with Rob Ryan on the sidewalk?
Plus, they’ll be breaking-down some of the biggest games: Lions 18 – Packers 16 / Dolphins 20 – Eagles 19 / Patriots 27 – Giants 26 / Chiefs 29 – Broncos 13 / Texans 10 – Bengals 6.
We’re staring at Week 11 being upon us. How’s your team doing? Get in on THE BEST NFL-talk action on the Internet right here and participate with YOUR CALLS at 347 – 826 – 9964!
I'm going to speak about this and he's right!
