Comprehensive Counseling Guidance--The Psychiatric State Enters Common Core

    in News

The Common Core Standards Initiative has inspired A Unified Learning Supports to ensure Common Core is learned well so that kids will be College and Career Ready.  In this Unified Learning Supports is a Comprehensive Counseling Guidance proposed by Alabama Sup Tommy Bice (maybe tweaked in Dec worksession and voted in Jan by SBOE).
Here are some food for thought gleanings from nationally renowned Education Expert--Linda Murphy:

"All students will receive a data-driven counseling program that promotes academic achievement, career readiness, and personal/social development", which includes their "attitudes, character, values and beliefs."

It is "aligned with ASCA National Model and its revisions and includes four interrelated components: foundation, delivery system, management system, and accountability."

The "ASCA National Model: A Framework for School Counseling Programs, and three revisions promulgate national school counseling standards."

It "helps students achieve their full potential through four program delivery components: School Guidance Curriculum, Individual Student Planning, Responsive Services, and Indirect Services."  read more

Hear Press Conference On Dr. Tommy Bice's Comprehensive Counseling Guidance

    in News

Hear a news conference about Alabama State Superintendent Tommy Bice Proposal on Comprehensive Counseling Guidance and he is being touted as leading the nation.  The Common Core Standards Initiative now has their tentacle not just on reading and math but on behavior, attitudes and beliefs.  We have never had such a statewide system where every child will be tested and trained.    Who would even think this is alright? The Alabama Baptist Convention has made a very strong stand to call for repeal of Common Core and also makes a stand against this Comprehensive Counseling Guidance.  God's people are waking up to this mindset that seeks to control the minds and behaviors and attitudes of children disguised as making them College and Career Ready.  Parents beware and say this is not acceptable in any form.  Read these articles and get more informed ...http://eagnews.org/doj-grants-63-million-for-social-justice-school-discipline-promoted-by-bill-ayers/
